Welcome to one of the BEST decisions you will EVER make! I have been on IP for 15 months as of today. I have loss 166lbs and over 100 inches. I was in a tight 36 pant and now wear a size 18, shirts Men's 5x polo today Ladies XL, Bra 56DD now 38C. Yes I have loose skin BUT clothes do an amazing thing. If you want to get this weight off of you, Like another poster said give it 3 months and see how much you can lose. TRUST me when I say IF you are 100% on the program and follow that Phase 1 sheet, your results will be AMAZING!!.....Good luck to you

Thumbs up

Wow, thank you for the support and tips...I appreciate it so much. I am so thankful to have found this website.

I had my first consult last night and it went great. I really like my coach which is a good start. I weighed in right where I thought I would and while I do have a long road ahead, I know I am ready for this. I am going 100% and not looking back. I am going to keep doing some exercise, mostly light lifting and probably walking at first. I'll see how that goes.

I am going to have a challenge next week as we are going to Kings Dominion for a few days. There will be a lot of walking, which I love. The food is going to be a challenge but I love that as well. I didn't want to put off starting this until after vacation because I felt that would put me even further behind...so I'm doing this! I'm so excited and instead of worrying about everything and agonizing over how long this might take....I am going to embrace the journey and take it step by step. Thanks again to everyone!!

I'm completing just day two and feeling discouraged. I am not really liking much of the food and some of it I just haven't been able to eat. The lemon pudding, I was so excited about this until I tried it. Also the crispy cereal....I guess it is the powdered milk that makes it taste that way but I am really concerned about doing this long term, or even for the rest of the week. I am sticking with it and hopefully when I pick out my own food next week, I will be able to find things that are tasty. I like the Chili and the White Chocolate bar but that is it so far. I hope I have the strength to stick with this...I know they say the first few days are the hardest and I'm sure that is true. Thanks again for this site and letting me vent.

Well you have to keep an open mind about the foods. You are only going to eat this temporary its not forever. My staples are the chocolate drink, vanilla drink, strawberry wafers. There are some foods that I don't care for as well but your taste will change. Try to stick with it, You can do this...NO excuses!

You are welcome, this is why I post so much and have shared my journey from the start. I want everyone to be as successful as I am. If you stick to the program and follow the protocol YOU WILL SUCCEED!...I have always been a positive person but since on this journey I have grown into someone different. Helping others is my passion when it comes to this program.

Just a note about the comment on some of the packages tasting better than others, that of course is true.
But there are many recipes on here for making things with them. If you find you don't like something check on this site to see if there are other ways to use it. Somethings you think you won't like can be transformed into something tasty by the many creative cooks among the posters on here.

Stick with it. My husband started IP two weeks before I did and he was given a variety pack of packets. We tried them together and life was much better the next week when we could pick the packets we liked. Also there are some great recipe threads. You will likely learn what you like. Our favorites are the vanilla and choc RTDs, the vanilla and choc drinks and puddings and the cappuccino drink. And the herb cheese omelet. Keep positive. You can do this. You deserve this. You will get into a routine and find out what works. For me the best thing about the program is that it took away the sugar peaks and valleys (mood peaks and valleys). I have then been able to look at my relationship with food in an honest way and believe that will be the key to long term success. You go girl.

Hi iluv! Welcome to IP and to the forum. I'm relatively new. I've been on the program for one month and have lost 16 pounds. The first few days can be tough as your body adjusts. I, too, did not like the foods that I chose to eat on Day 1. I wondered what I had gotten myself into. But as I tasted other foods I found ways to make them work - and I found a few I really liked. I miss fruit, so I found that the fruity drinks (mango-peach - yum, pina colada, and pineapple-banana) work well for me in the morning for breakfast. Soups make me feel that I'm eating a lot, so I make leek, broc-cheese (yum), or chicken soup for lunch and add sauteed veggies and spices. You'll find what you like, too.

Check the recipe threads for ideas!

It's a wonderful program and people have lost huge amounts of weight on it. The people here are very supportive and have helped and encouraged me at the beginning.

Welcome!

Hi, iluv--

Hang in there! You can do this. Yes some of the packets don't taste very good to me, but I've been on the program a week and now I know what I like and what I can do to the food to make it taste better. Check out the recipes. Use lots of spices. It can be hard at first, but you are worth it!
