Who else is here in the Evergreen State getting healthy with me?? :carrot:

Tigerlvr52 06-12-2012 08:48 PM

I go to a clinic in Normandy Park by the airport, where do you go?

Lalison 06-12-2012 08:58 PM

I WAS there with you! I am from the Seattle suburbs (Mountlake Terrace) but I moved to South Korea in January to be an English teacher. I certainly miss my home state! I did IP there last year when I was in college and I went to a clinic in Bellingham. When I went back home for the summer, I went to a clinic in Edmonds.

ferrousgal 06-12-2012 09:38 PM

Me, if you can't tell by my location under my avatar. ;)

ETA: I don't go through a clinic, I'm 100% on my own... Hanging out in the wind... Jumping without a parachute...

I saw a couple of people having the state or location, but I thought it would be different to see a gathering of local support.

Oh you have lots of little cafe's there in Spokane don't you? Have you had any luck with eating OP out in Spokane? Part of my job deals with our branch in Spokane so I call over there often.

I have not eaten out a lot; but I went to Anthony's a couple of weeks ago and had copper river salmon grilled with the green beans. There is an Italian place called Luigi's that caters to IP customers (that's what the clinic told me). I haven't tried them yet.... ;)

sabredawn10 06-14-2012 08:20 AM

Olympia here...Used to go to a clinic but decided to go at it here with 3FC support!

Tigerlvr52 06-14-2012 10:26 AM

Lots and lots of people are from Washington that's great. I thought that even those on alternatives as well as 100% IP can compare notes. Mention pricing at local stores for veggies or other things we can eat. Do trades of WF products if you have some you don't like and want to get rid of and it's easier to ship in state. I am excited.

ChaloJ 06-15-2012 12:53 AM

Hi there! I'm in Maple Valley, and I go to a clinic in Covington. I'm just starting my third month with IP, 56 pounds down! (I'm a little excited!)

I read this forum every day, but I don't usually have time to post until late in the pacific time zone. And by that time, I usually feel like the party's over. :( I'm thankful anyway to read such awesome, encouraging stories.

Thanks for starting a WA thread!

THISTIME4ME 06-15-2012 09:53 AM

I'm a little northeast of Seattle.

HAPPY SUNNY DAY,Everyone!!!! :)

My husband is from Covington, that's cool. We are pretty close. And congrats on the 56lbs gone forever.

Asparagus

So Costco has some grown in Washington 2.5lb packs of asparagus for i believe $5.99. I bought 3 and froze 2.

Where does everyone in WA buy their veggies? Any Sales or deals you have seen this week?

This week QFC has broccoli and cauli for 99 cents a pound. That's pretty good.

If I am in the Renton highlands, I will always stop at Viet Wah, the asian grocery store. Some of their veggies are seconds, but I usually find plenty to fill up my fridge.

Tigerlvr52 06-18-2012 06:27 PM

I was at Fred Meyer this weekend and found a bunch of wf stuff in their diebetic section.

I was wondering about how you were doing~ I remember your post about thinking it was going to be a hard weekend. How'd you come through?

I hit a huge wall. This weekend I simply did not feel like dieting any more. My hair is really falling out, I got constipated, I felt sick and tired of preparing separate foods, and I was just done. On the other hand, I'm a few pounds shy of losing 60 pounds, I am starting to be able to wear clothes from the regular section, and I can move sooooo much more easily! So, I pushed through the wall without cheating, and now I feel like I am ready to cruise again. Whew!

vovo 06-19-2012 12:22 AM

Hello! I'm in Renton.

I went to a consultation this afternoon and will be starting this Thursday. Any tips or advice? I'm new & these forums can be so overwhelming! Would love to know what alternatives others may be using, what has/hasn't worked for some, etc...

Anyway, everyone is an inspiration & I'm looking forward to losing with all of you :)

justmysize 06-19-2012 10:47 AM

Hi everyone, I'm in the Shoreline/Edmonds area. I go to a clinic in Edmonds. I'm about 8 months into my journey and found out yesterday that I'm 3lbs from goal. I was EXCITED!!! :)

Happy day everyone!!!

The stresses of the weekend were not as bad as giving myself food poisoning. I went off plan for a day and a half with a few crackers and toast. But today I am back and continuing on my journey. I am so excited for you to be so close. Congratulations. :)

mlucas 06-19-2012 03:36 PM

Hey, I'm not in WA anymore but super home sick LOL. Actually just got back from WA. I was in the NE Tacoma/Federal Way area. Also Spanaway/Puyallup.. Miss home.. now I'm stuck in Bismarck, ND (been here just over a year) Just wanted to add my 2cents :)

Aaack--food poisoning! I'm so sorry to hear that. I hope you're feeling ship/shape now.

I think you might be confusing me with justmysize, who just found out she is three pounds from goal. (Wooooooot to you jms!)

The truth is...I'm a loooooong way from goal. I could barely deal with that a few days ago, but I'm reconciled and resolute now.

I still think being close to 60lbs is a great accomplishment.

Stick with it.. remember nothing tastes as good as skinny feels...
