  • Need Help!!! Been on IP (with mostly alternatives) for 5 weeks. Lost 4, 3, 3, 3, 1. The 1 was disappointing as I am following program pretty closely. I use ketosticks but never seem to get a reading that I am in ketosis recently. So far, scale has not moved this week. I know I've lost some inches but seem to be stagnent now. Any advice how to get back into a better position? How do I get into a deep ketosis?

    Don't panic I did the same thing in week 5 or 6. My coach said it was my body trying to catch up with my weight loss and I it was holding on to water to fill in the void caused by fat loss. Thats why all the girls are looking for the whoosh fairy all the time. Stay OP and it will come off.

    That is normal. Happens to me a lot. I used to drop 8-11lbs a week now I normally hang around 2-4.

    Haha, no, I wish...or from ANY university for that matter. Its kinda long story, but coming from a ranching family heavily involved in cattle, when I started my first company, 'Longhorn' was the first name that came to mind. I am now operating my third company Longhorn Energy Services so Longhorn is what everyone on 'other' boards knows me as, so when I signed up here, Longhorn was taken, so Longhorn Energy it is, but no relation to UT (sadly).

    You should be pleased if you have made it thru the first week. That was the hardest week I've had so far and it just gets better as the scale goes down.
