I just found the Pink Himalayan Sea Salt in the grinder at Target

Could you also find the Real Salt there? I remember looking but could not find it.

I just started IP two days ago. Going through my third day and having trouble eating the full portions. Feel so full but from my understanding need to eat at least the IP serving and vegetables. Trying to break it up into two meals. Is anyone else dealing with this? I really appreciate the info everyone is giving. I plan on trying some of the recipes cuz I am a picky eater and trying all the different packets to find the best tasting ones. I did like the omelet today and cut it up and made a stir-fry with chicken, mushrooms and broccoli with olive oil, really good. Found that the choco pudding wasn't appetizing but may try it again with adding some coffee as some have suggested. Thanks again for the input.

So am I the only one experiencing horrific gas while on the IP plan? I previously ate lots of veggies and lots of fiber prior to IP with no explosive impact at all. Then I switched to IP, and I am now concerned that my house may become a combustion chamber should any sparks fly! I am obviously sensitive to something, though I don't know if it is the soy, the sweetener, or what.

Thank goodness I am single, and I plan on staying that way until this passes (pun intended). And I am very greatful I work at home! I can't even imagine the fear of letting something "slip" in the company of anyone else!

Any advice or commiserating is appreciated!

when did you start?
I was the same way for the first 2 weeks and then (THANK GOODNESS) it passed
I told my coach and she laughed, said it wasn't common but it wasn't the first time she'd heard it...

I just wrapped up my 2nd week, and it is getting worse. :( But I think that it may be limited to specific products, and I am going to try and figure out which ones it may be!

Are you eating the bars, or even the stride gum or mints? Check for sugar alcohol in the ingredient (malitol, etc). It can cause gas for some people. I was using the pure protein bars for a bit and it killed me. So gross my kids wouldn't come near me! Once I stopped it all resolved. Otherwise ip has solved most of my gi issues.

I do have one bar a day ( I have a few diff flavors), so that may be my problem product, darn it. Now to figure out which one....

This is usually a sign that things aren't moving as well as they should in your intestinal tract and therefore the gas is allowed to build up. For me, it works best to use a stool softener or a laxative to keep things moving along at the speed they should. Good luck!

Kitkat, normally I would 100% agree with you, but things "move" very well for me (sometimes too well, lol) since I include chia seed in all my shakes. But I will be sure to monitor that more closely just in case!

BIG thanks to everyone that gave me some guidance....very much appreciated!!

I just wrapped up Week 2 (which was NOT a good week for me since I went off plan for 3 days), but I managed to salvage it to some degree with a 1.5lb loss and 2.75 inches.

I am not complaining, since I am responsible for my own (poor) choices and will definitely be 100% OP next week.

Short term goals I am targeting:
- March 15th business trip - I need a suit jacket that fits!
- May 2nd client forum - it would be nice to be thinner for this meeting than I was at the one at the beginning of February (my all time highest weight, sigh)

Running off to do some errands, and will post comments on other posts later tonight!

officially survived my first month on IP!
posted pictures to the blog if anyone wants to see what a difference a month can make...
One pot belly and 12 pounds later I'm over 1/3 of the way to goal!

Wow...you look great. Are you starting to get into different sizes yet? IP works from the top down and shirt sizes will drop quickly. Love your blog. Great recipes.

p.s. I love Royal Pains too.

I went down a pant size (from 10 to 8) the 8s are getting loose but it might also be that the pants themselves are stretching out. I like my tops loose so I personally haven't noticed as big a change there but my biggest inches loss has been belly so I do feel it in the shirts there
