Yes I agree, bethanym. I definitely plan to minimize wine in the future. It's largely to blame for my gain in the first place! I think I need some new friends who aren't constantly inviting me to happy hour. lol Maybe I'll meet some on here!

I think the hardest part will be cutting out wine & vodka!
This has definitely been the hardest part for me...but I just keep thinking how good that first drink will taste when I'm all done! Once you see the scale the moving, it's not quite as hard to say no!

Dill pickles do count as a veggie though right?

Does anyone have any advice on how to flavor up the chicken soup packet? I started the alternative" thing" last week but I still have 4 chicken soups left. I would like to use them but eating them plain makes me want to gag. Hope everyones having a great day

I tried upping my salt and water, adding in an extra packet. I checked my blood pressure and it was fine. My weight didn't move either even though I have been following the same protocol from the beginning (Jan 1). Someone suggested my blood sugar was low? Can a person get too low blood sugar on this plan. Mine was normal when I started.
Yes, your blood sugar can get too low on IP. Especially if you're on any meds. Are you? Thyroid, blood pressure, blood sugar? Be very careful. How much do you have to lose? If you have 90 # to lose, you may need an extra packet or 2 a day for a while. Are you taking your supps, too? Carbs are low on this plan, but the calories are even lower. So, if you have (sorry for this wording) a lot of 'mass' you may need a little extra fuel until the mass is not as great. I just had surgery and I had to up my caloric intake for prep and healing. I would not have had a good outcome if I had stayed on protocol.

When you're shaking, your body is telling you something - EAT. Better a protein, than a bag of chips! You will NOT mess anything up. You will not have to 'start over' you have not failed if you have an extra pack. As a matter of fact, if you put your body into starvation mode, you'll stop losing.

How are you feeling today?

Dh and I tried the soy patty for lunch. I added mashed cauliflower cumin, Garam masala chili powder. It was good-sort of like eating refried beans made into a patty...

I also go some proti thin pancakes in the mail today. They will be my pancake Tuesday dinner. I hope they are good!

Thank you for the info. I am feeling a bit better today although I woke up with what seems to be a head cold. Perhaps that was part of the problem. I weigh 175 at 5'8 and have 30 lbs to go. Just going to carry on and get a bit more rest because of the cold. If the weakness comes back I will go check it out with the doctor.

Also helpful to drink a glass of water immediately after you take a packet. The drinks work more quickly and might help more quickly with the shakiness. I had to do that a few times when I was shaky.

That really helps in more ways than one. I hate dealing with the hard shells! Thanks.
