I love nice clothes but hitting up a Kmart and getting leggings in their workout section and some really inexpensive sweaters is great for a casual look. Not sure what to suggest for work.

I would suggest dresses - ones that can be belted as you lose weight or true wrap dresses so you can adjust as you get smaller. Many dresses can get you through a couple of size changes and really help stretch the clothes budget. Skirts can also work as long as you still have hips to help hold them up.

HTH

Editing this to add that I see the clothing exchange thread- what an awesome idea!
Thanks!
you know...The Salvation Army sells nice things (just pick through) in smaller sizes...you can always buy some inexpensive pieces to get you though...I plan on going there when I reach my smallest size because I know most ppl are gaining weight and donating all their nice clothes to places like The Salvation Army! On another note...I've been wearing these black pants from LL Bean that have an elastic waist (they're called Perfect Fit) they come in all different colors and they will fit for a long time...(meaning through many sizes) and they fit well and look good. I've lost 26 lbs and can probably wear the size I have for another 15 lbs... Can't wait to read through to see what everyone else is doing... (Great problem we all have!!!) LOL

I love the idea of the wrap dress... I will also wait till after Christmas to visit the Salvation Army. I have this theory that people may get new clothes for Christmas and have to clean out their closets (especially if they have some time off of work this week) to make room for their new stuff. :-)

Also, go before 12/31. People are making donations for tax deduction for the following year...I'll be finding one near me soon and buy some small clothes in anticipation of wearing them this summer!!!
