Good Morning IPeeps,
I was looking at Protien Bars last night and was going to get one or two to have on hand, but I was trying to remember something that I saw in older posted. I didn't get them because I needed to reread it and make sure that I was correct. But I cannot locate the post so I am going to ask all the experts here..... I read that if a protein bar has...ex...24g Carbs and also has 15g of Sugar Alcohols, then you deduct the Sugar Alcohols from the Carbs which would make it 9g of Carbs. Is that correct?

good morning!! well I haven't been on to much because we have been oh so busy!! as some of you may or may not know I currently am a personal baker - I make custom cupcakes (and cakes on occasion) - when I started IP I quit baking for a while and took a step back to get my health under control. Well last week I decided to reopen to friends and family and I am already doing orders and samples. Yesterday was my 1st test and I must say it was harder than I thought. I did not cheat by all means but everytime I had cake, icing, filling, or fondant on my fingers my first reaction was to lick then wash my hands?/ I did not lick but had to stop myself about a 100 times was I ready for the holiday flow of cupcakes, candies, etc.. .that everyone orders???? Sorry just venting.

oh well I will stay strong!!!!!! Everyone has been having great weigh ins - CONGRATS!! I go for mine today - Hope everyone has a great day

Good morning everyone! I didn't get to check in yesterday as I had a 13 hour day with child care. After getting home from their christmas party I could barely move, still very sore this morning. I was hoping there would be food that I could eat at the dinner but unfortunately I had to wait until 8:30 when I got home. Overall it wasnt the best IP day, I didn't get all my water in because I couldnt keep leaving the kids for bathroom breaks and I didn't get in my last snack ..... ANYWAYS today is another day, and so far so good.
Good luck to everybody who has WI's today!!

Good To see you checking in... I also bake on the side. I found it easier after the first time... knowing that I was seeing results I wanted... I think that it will make you stronger in the end... I also sell Scentsy products. and my directer had said something silly to me that having food smells helps cravings... And I am a firm believer of it now... Just a thought!!

Good morning!! I have my weigh in at 1 this afternoon. I'm very excited. I know I've lost some inches, if not too much weight.
This is my first week on IP and I have had a sinus infection for most of it. Not feeling good has made it hard to keep my motivation up, but the money I'm putting into this diet is enough to make me not cheat! lol
I read that ketosis can make you very thirsty. I think that's an understatement. Yesterday I drank 13 cups of water. I keep a 32 oz water bottle with me at all times, so it's easy to get my 8 cup quota in each day. After yesterday, though, I was wondering if you can have too much water on this diet? I don't know if this would make me gain more water weight or anything like that. Any thoughts on the matter?

I did the same thing at Thanksgiving! I was preparing dessert and had to stop myself from licking my fingers and/or the spoon. Just another habit to work on breaking, I guess!! The holidays are gonna be tough probably, but we can do it!! There's always dessert to be had at the end of the diet tunnel!! LOL!! Good luck on your WI today!

It's been a busy week around my house. Both of my sons are taking mid-term exams in school (middle/high) and I'm still trying to get the house decorated for Christmas in between the normal day-to-day routine. I'm having a great week so far, seems like the struggles I was having over the past few weeks have subsided (for now, anyway). Going for my WI tomorrow and hoping for a good number...but, hey, any loss is a good loss, right?
Best of luck to everyone with WI's this week!! Have a great OP day!!

You can drink too much water but you're not anywhere near it at 104 ounces per day. Most of us try to get in about 100-110.

Hello IPeeps! I have begun looking for low carb/ low fat snack alternatives for the holidays and have found the following recipe. I have not tried it, so I can't give any information other than the recipe, but I will be giving it a try as I really am missing avacodes and guacamole on this diet.

“Broccomole” Dip
Ingredients
• 2 cups chopped fresh broccoli, cooked and chilled
• 1/4 cup reduced-fat sour cream
• 1 to 2 tablespoons finely chopped onion
• 1 tablespoon fat-free mayonnaise
• 2 to 3 tablespoons lemon juice
• 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
• Assorted fresh vegetables or tortilla chips
Directions
• In a food processor, combine the first six ingredients; cover and process until smooth. Refrigerate for several hours. Serve with vegetables or tortilla chips. Yield: 6 servings.

Good morning everyone. Thank you for the compliment yesterday Ishbel.

I have been away for a while, I was on a business trip for an entire week, talk about exhausting.

We also had our Xmas party and it was a blast. I was able to wear a beautiful dress and felt SO good in it. I must have received a thousand compliments over the entire week, it was great.

I started my Xmas baking last night and wasn't tempted at all. The end reward of losing weight is worth more than the taste of the baked goods. My family however devoured pretty much everything...lol.

I don't know how my WI will go tonight, I haven't geared off plan but during my travels I had dinner meetings every night and eating out makes me nervous even though I ordered what I am allowed. We'll see. As long as there isn't a gain I'll be happy.

So I got my ring for my 100 lbs reward. It's a white gold frosted hammered look. Cause I hammered out 100 lbs LOL it's engraved "100 lbs gone forever".

Pretty happy to finally have it on my finger as then it's in my face to remind me. I have some other rewards that will come along but this was my specific one. Already have a ring picked out for goal (I'm a white gold chick). My mom gave me the idea as originally I wanted diamond studs, she suggested that it needed to be something I saw everyday. As I already have two tattoos I'm currently not interested in getting another...but JEWELRY, I'm always interested in that!

WTG!!! It is an excellent idea to have your reward in the form of a ring or bracelet because it is in your line of vision all the time as a reminder of how far you have come. And having the "forever" part engraved is an additional reminder.
What a nice reward for an incredible achievement.

So glad to hear you don't want another tattoo. One or two tasteful ones are fine but so many people go way off the deep end with them.
