Well since we have a few people on Central time zone I went ahead and started today's thread before I went to bed. This morning there were people looking for the chat and it wasn't started yet, so if no one has any objections I'll start making the new thread for the next day before I go to bed since it is always after midnight or so. I closed yesterday's chat on accident, I was trying to do something else and closed it instead. I won't close the day before's chat til the morning so that people can still post there throughout the night, sorry about that tonight guy's.

I hope everyone has a great day and those of us who WI today...GOOD LUCK!

Good morning all! Good luck to all those who weigh in!!! I decided to add up all my inches lost since the first day and I have lost 42 inches along with the 40.5 pounds. It's a great feeling. I still feel fat in my belly so I know I need to keep losing.

Good morning!!

I just got the chance to skim through all of yesterday's thread. Congrats to all the NSVs and SVs!!!

Well I'm not going to lie, I had a rough day yesterday. My mom passed away when I was little and yesterday was her birthday which is always emotional. I'm proud to say though that I didn't turn to food like I usually do and instead kept myself busy which is why I wasn't on yesterday. It was rough but there was no way I was going to derail all my progress for one day of feeling sad.

Today though is a different story. I started feeling sick last night and it's turned into what I can only guess is the flu. I have no idea how I am going to stay OP today. I wasn't feeling 100% yesterday but I just assumed it was because of all the emotional stuff going on. I couldn't even choke down my dinner until 10 and it was after midnight when I had my snack. All of my go to sick foods are off limits now. I've E-Mailed my coach, but do you guys have any suggestions for OP friendly foods that are easy to swallow (sore throat) and easy on the tummy? I really don't want to not eat because last night by the time I choked down my dinner I felt horrible. There are just so few calories coming in I want to keep them at a constant level to keep me from feeling worse. TIA!!!

Congrats!!! I love that my coach adds up my inches every WI for me. That way I know I'm on track. It's fun to see that number go down too!!

o.k for Newbies to jump on this thread? I introduced myself on an itroductory thread a couple of days ago but haven't jumped on any other ones yet.
I live in the States, married for 20 years, mom to 2 boys-ages 17 and 14. I started IP on 9-26 (Monday) after seeing a lot of friends/people in my community doing really well on the plan. We have a clinic that is part of our community medical center.
I had my first weigh-in this past Tuesday and was done 9 pounds. A lot of that was fluid retention but I am still pleased for it to be gone! I am 2 days into Week 2.
Here are my current stats (from my official weigh-ins at the clinic fully dressed): 160.1/151.1/130. I am 5-3.
Looking forward to getting to know all of you better.

That is a wonderful loss!..both inches and pounds. I have the same problem. I still have a tummy that needs work on! I have been doing abdominal exercises to try to help!
Have a great day.

Navymom..I am so sorry about you being sick..plus having a difficult day yesterday. Your mom must have been a wonderful person.

I am no expert, but when I was sick I could not eat..I drank chicken broth and ate sugar free jello. ..herbal teas..peppermint. I would see if your coach allows anything like crackers or toast. I hope you feel better.

Hi Boyz4us. Welocme. This is a perfect place to post! You will get lots of support here. There are people from all Phases of IP here.
It sounds like an excellent beginning on IP with a 9 pound loss. Have a great IP day.

Welcome boys4us! Congrats on the weight loss so far ")

Wow, the flu season has already started, I got my flu shot last week. I would just do like the above poster and drink broth and I would even eat vegatable soup, drink tons of H2O and take vitamin C or Airborne. Hope you feel better soon!

Off to quilt stores to find some fabric for a bargello table runner , nothing I like more than fabric shopping with girlfriends.

Well, the TMI subject: the hemoroids are still bad and bleeding, I hate to call the doc, but I may have to. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Have an OP day!

I hope a dr can help you. They can give you suppositories that work immediately. Have you tried any from the store?
Hope you feel better.

Good morning, all. I am working from home this morning for a few hours than going off to do some community service. My company lets us do 1 day of service a year so I am working with the Susan G Komen foundation.

I'll be there over lunch so I'll bring a bar and water with me and have my veggies later on.

Good morning everyone. Yesterday's WI was minus 2. This is excellent news after 2 weeks in the 1s..plus being on Phase 2. My coach was suggesting I move to Phase 3 but I told her I am not ready..Really not ready to give up crispy cereal pancakes!!!

WUV : That was very inspiring about your family members losing on this as well. You are going to have a healthy family! Thanks for posting the site early.

Last night I steamed spinach and put the WF Alfredo sauce on it..Not too bad for a change.

Have a wonderful day everyone. Good luck on WIs.

Good morning everyone,

Today marks my 14th week, no weight loss at all which is understandable sine I cheated last weekend and then I promised never to cheat again, never, ever. A lesson for the newbies: never cheat, not only you'll pay for it financially by losing the money you paid on your food, you'll lose emotionally by feeling bad and physically feeling even worse, so: learn from the ones who made the mistake already and DON'T CHEAT, never ever.

Anyway, I am sure I will lose some weight by this coming week.

I have a question: I discovered a chewing gum that does not have aspartame, it is the ''Dentyne Fire, Cinnamon'', it has sorbitol, maltitol, manntol, acésulfame-potassium and sucralose, I know sucralose is ok since splenda is made out of this, but are all the other ingredient ok? Please if anyone knows, tell me.

Keep up the good work everyone

Default Fricken Annoyed

Had my 4th weigh in yesterday and was UP .8lbs!

I have been 100% faithful and was expecting a loss
Really second guessing this diet unfortunately as I've only lost 10lbs to date and it is very very expensive when you look at it that way

Coach reduced me to two restrictives this week, have been having one per day since I started - hopefully this does the trick but I'm worried that the yogurt, puddings and soup won't cut it - I'll be starving by time I get home

BTW - I even had a couple mugs of hot lemon water the night before my weigh in.... TOM is expected this week but I can't see that making a huge differencem, even so it still isn't a huge loss so far...

That is a wonderful foundation. I am pleased to see all of the pink worn by football players.
