Ishbel, can you mix one packet of jello with 2 packets of another drink and then divide into three? You would still get the benefit of the jello without it being all jello. That's all I got, lol!

I also start my Roller Derby training tomorrow... so I am somewhat nervous, I am not sure if I should have a bar before or after practice! And its gonna be late, so I still need to have dinner as well!

I would eat half before and half after, but that is only my opinion:)

No need to be nervous, you are doing great and everything will be fine!

Roller derby is very physical. I would consider having an extra packet before practice. Then eat your dinner right after, and your snack later. Have 4 packets on practice days.

I have several IP friends at work and we were each sharing how many more pounds we hope to lose. We were starting to feel a bit bummed that we would be on phase 1 until Thanksgiving or Christmas, and then we started to turn the conversation around and began to discuss the goals we had at the beginning of the program... We were pleasantly surprised at all we've accomplished:
* I can cross my legs
* I fit comfortably in a plane or theatre seat
* I can wear my wedding ring again
* I go up a flight of stairs without losing my breath
* I wear clothes I like; not just anything that will cover me up
* I look my age; not older than my age
* I have more energy
BONUS: I sleep better!!! And, snore less. ;-)

I love IP!!!

Thanks for all the tips - I'll definately try the mixing of the packets and looking into Collagen packets that Colley suggested.

I just can't make jello out of it, but for some reason I never thought to add it to VANILLA pudding...sounds yum! :) The raspberry slushy sounds yummy too. Maybe one day I'll actually make it into a jello...but really...who am I kidding...probably not. (GAG!) lol

Love this place you guys R-O-C-K!

Great idea to look at the positives!!! Sometimes it's hard to deal with the slow losses, but to look back and see all the things (besides pounds) that can be gained, it's all worth it! :)

I'm glad everyone is interested in still hearing about my phasing out, thank you I will share my experiences for sure!

hmmm, never drank the jello before... I suggest you try to use a blender as well if you can. I have a Ninja and it crushes ice really good, I bet the jello would taste like a slushy if you do that. I have issue with the lumpies in the blueberry cran drink as well I have found if you add more ice to it and let is sit for a few minutes after the first shake, there isn't as many chuckies left over. Who ever mentioned their NINJA on here Thank you... I have been having slushies and smoothies and iced cap like drinks all week.... and I wonder why I am cold all the time!

I have a ninja :) love it. But yeah I have been drinking a lot of things warmed up lately as I am just freezing

I'm trying really hard to drink the jello packets. YUCK, they are so slimy I gag when I try to drink it. (I don't make jello out of them because I hate jello as I had to survive on jello for a month once for a hospital stay). I’m trying hard, because I want my skin to have the benefit of the jello.

I find that they are slimey and they don't mix well, I find the blueberry pomegranate slimy as well (ugh!).

Anyone have tips on getting rid of the bits at the bottom of the shaker? If I could get rid of those I’d probably just close my eyes and do it (as I want the benefit). I already use the IP shaker with ice.

I was going to say try it warm I guess but mixing with vanilla sounds awesome I will have to try that now too!

Spearfish Canyon foliage was supposed to be at peak this past weekend. I missed it, but will manage to get out there some night this week. My sister and her boyfriend took my kids through, and they had a picnic at Roughlock Falls. I was pretty jealous!

I am jealous too!!

Loud stomach noises

The last few days I have been having really loud embarrassing stomach noises that you can hear across the room! I can also feel the rumbles and they are quite uncomfortable.
Has anyone else experienced this? Any idea what causes it or how to get rid of it?

It is SOooo worth it and so are all of you!
You'll be so deep into it by the holidays that you will all just cruise thru it. Stock up on the IP or alternative company ridges, sour cream puffs and any allowed snacky stuff you can bring to staff and family parties, while sipping on perrier with lime. Lots of us got thru Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Hanukah AND New Years with flying colors because we were so in the zone and so feelin' and lookin' good. I know you gals will do the same.
Check out all the cool holiday recipes on the food threads and prepare in advance, so you're in control. I even made turnip "potato pancakes" topped with WF maple syrup, brought them to a party, nuked them in my hostesses microwave and no one was the wiser.
You're gonna do great, I just know it!:carrot::carrot:

Wildflower - please stay with us and let us know how phase 3 is going!!! We're all afraid to change phases, and your insight will be most valuable.

Katie8810 10-03-2011 11:37 PM

I hope everyone had a great day!! Tomorrow is the first day I'll be using alternatives so I'm quite excited to see how it works. I'm also adding in some more exercise so that I can MAYBE lose 25-30 before Christmas. If I see that I'm losing muscle I'll definately be adding another packet or bar though.
