Hi, I'm Tammy and I am from Denver Colorado. I am a mother of two beautifull children (8 & 4). I am on my third week and going strong. Finally I have found a diet that I can see myself not only sticking with but that is so easy to do. I look forward to meeting all of you in the upcoming months.
 |
Hi I'm Allison, 42, living in Davidson NC just north of Charlotte. Mom to 2 kids, 7 and 5, and I work full time (usually more that full time!). Married 12 years in October. Just started IP on 8/27. Have finally gotten to the point where I don't want to cheat but still would really kill for some popcorn
Hoping to lose due to high cholesterol as well as just plain sick of feeling "padded" and tired. I had no idea how addicted to carbs I was until I attempted to start this diet - it was a very rough first 5 days - I was pretty irate most of that time! :o The family is taking a trip to Disney World 10/21, which is all good except we already bought the dining plan (!), and I'm concerned that all the good I'm doing will be erased in 7 days of inhaling..... Looking forward to getting to know you all! |
Starting over
Hi I am Vicki. I am 5'3", will soon be 54 yrs. Most of my life I was under 125lbs. About 10 years ago I had two back surgeries. After the surgeries and the onset of menopause, I realized I had gained a little weight so I went on a quick Adkins diet. Lost ten pounds that was that, or so I thought.
Over the eight years since, I found I had gained not just the 10 back but an additional 20lbs. Since then I have tried several different diets. The last time around I hired a personal trainer, worked out three to five times a week at the gym + extra aerobic exercise. I only managed to lose 6lbs. IN A YEAR. Admittedly I was much more toned but I still was not losing the fat the way I had hoped. After almost giving up totally I came across the IP Diet Plan. I thought what the heck. I will give it a try. I did fairly well from February 2011 till July 2011. I had managed to lose 20lbs. Since July I have had to deal with some stressful family issues which were ultimately too overwhelming and I started faltering. Last week my dear friend:devil: gave me a generous gift of homemade butterfinger fudge. After eating half of it I dared to get on the scale. I found myself up 5lbs and in need of serious motivation. I have been back on track for two days. I already feel better. I know I can get down to a healthy weight if I can keep the momentum going. Because of family issues I know I will be traveling often. I hope to use this website for motivation while on the road. I could use any suggestions about what to do while on long road trips. :D Thanks |

Brand new!
Hi all, I started IP this Saturday. Just finished day 2. I am 26 years old with no children, just a loving boyfriend who eats fast food and stays skinny! I was shocked to find out I weigh 183lbs...I gained 30lbs in a year without really noticing. I need to succeed in this diet as health problems have now started to take toll. I'm super excited to feel alive again!

Hi Everyone!! I've been posting all around the forum but must have missed this thread somehow. I'm a 25 year old mom of 2 little ones (1&3) that keep me busy all the time.
I've had severe thyroid issues in my past, and that's what caused me to gain so much weight. I've never been skinny, but when I had Graves disease I ate TONS and TONS and the weight melted off because of the disease. Once it was diagnosed I had my thyroid surgically removed but didn't change the way I was eating and I gained and gained. That was followed 3 months post-op by my first pregnancy which was followed soon after by my second pregnancy, and sadly both times I used them as an excuse to binge. Sadly, breastfeeding didn't help me to lose weight like I was told it would. As a family we have now gone to a whole different place with food, only eating whole foods all homemade, nothing packaged, but even though I have maintained the weight exactly since my son's birth 18 months ago I can't lose anything. That's why when I discovered the IP program it made so much sense to me. I need something 'unbalanced' to kick me in the rear and lose the weight, then I can maintain it, I just can't get there on my own. Being a SAHM is tough on a diet because I'm always around food, and cooking for the kiddos or my husband. That's why I think the IP program fits so perfectly into my life. It's set, there's no counting calories or points, so I'm not constantly at the computer trying to justify the snack I just ate with my kids in my calorie count, I just don't eat it :) Ultimately I am hoping I can lose 70 lbs. I've never been that weight (when I wasn't sick) so we'll see how I feel as I get closer and I might adjust that up or down. Good luck to everyone!! |
Thanks for the tip! The headache came in my sleep last night!
