Question Ketosis question

Okay..so in a lot of the products that i am using from proti-diet..they contain fructose or corn syrup solids..The carb count is still as low as its supposed to be..its under 5 grams of carbs..But wouldnt the corn syrup solids and fructose kick you out of ketosis??? Or is based on carb count that you take in and not ingredients?

I am by no means an expert please do not take what I say as verbatim but from what I what I can see on low carb boards it looks like fructose does spike blood sugar thus refilling livers glycogen and can kick you out of ketosis....

Sometimes it's not about the carb content but rather it's glycemic index and it's effect on blood sugars...it's why some sweeteners are deemed okay on program and some are not.

I read that exercise can kick you out of ketosis. Does anyone know about this? My ketosis sticks have been showing negative a lot frequently and I have not changed anything about the diet but exercise. I have not cheated at all. I am in week 10

I suggest reading Chapter 7 in Dr. Tran's book to gain a good understanding of ketosis... the link to the book download is in the first post of every daily chat thread...

If you're still losing weight, you're still in ketosis, even if it doesn't show on the strips... your ketones are just being eliminated through your breath & perspiration, so there aren't as many left to show up in your urine... keep doing what you're doing, it works...

hugs
