Chocolate drink. Pina Colada. Any of the bars. :-)
If you don't mind paying the extra, the RTD shakes are significantly better than the powders.
I pretty much lived on those for a year.
I hear people like the puddings, but every one I've tried has been repulsive. I almost quit the diet when the RTDs weren't available last summer, but then I tried the chocolate drink powder, and it made all the difference.
Try one packet each of a bunch of different things for one week, and see what you like.
I love:
- Chocoalte RTD drink box;
- Vanilla RTD drink box;
- Chili;
- Spaghetti bolognese;
- Salt & Vinegar Ridges;
- Southwest cheese curls;
- Pina colada drink;
- All bars that I have tried (choco-raspberry, peanut butter, milk chocolate and especially the lemon and Cookies-and-cream);
- All soy puffs (so much so that I don't buy them because the are too "more-ish" for me;
- Vanilla ready-made pudding cups
I like:
- Pineapple banana drink;
- Cripy cereal;
- Omelet;
- Mushroom soup;
- Broccoli cheese soup;
- Chocolate pancake/muffin mix (made as muffins);
- White cheddar ridges
I somewhat dislike:
- Tomato basil soup
I really dislike:
- Leek soup;
- Blueberry, cranberry and pomegranate drink;
- Peach and mango drink
It all depends on personal taste. I used to have the omlets and the tom soup for lunches in the early weeks and always would have the salt and vin ridges for my restricted as I was an ex salt and vin cape cod chip junkie!!! I now only use the choc pud mixed w/ flavored decaf coffee and WF choc or carmel dips and syrups... easier for me this way as I am always creative with dinner
Some foods are good, some are not bad. There are a few that I can not stand. A good bet is to try and find a coach that offers single packages, or lets you trade the remainder of your packages in if you find something you do not like.
I personally like the cream of leek soup, blended with cauliflower and broc.
I really like the pina colda drink and the pre made shakes and puddings.
My other half loves the omlette packages - where I do not like them.
I also use the oatmeal restricted to make meatballs and meatloaf.
If you get an intro package it should give you a good idea of what you like an don't like. I don't eat any of the bars, as I find it doesn't satisfy any sweet craving I do have, and just makes it worse.
Good Luck... It does work.
I have posted the meatball recipe in the Recipe Folder
Okay, these are amazing! You will feel like you're cheating when you eat 12 mini muffins in one day. I made these last night then had to hide them from my son after he ate his 3rd one. We did a sampling this morning at a few weigh-in's and it was love at first bite.
Oatmeal Zucchini Muffins: For All Stages of the Ideal Diet Protocol
1 package of Ideal Protein Maple Oatmeal
1 egg – beaten
1/2 tsp baking powder
Pinch of salt
1 tsp of Stevia or Xylotol
1-1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2-3/4 of small zucchini finely grated (squeeze out excess juice) 2-3 oz water
Beat the egg in a bowl. Add Maple Oatmeal, baking powder, salt, Stevia, cinnamon, and zucchini. Mix and gradually add water until you have a good batter. Spray muffin tin with organic cooking spray. Bake at 385°F. Makes 3 regular muffins or 12-bite size. Bake for about 7 minutes for mini muffins, 15-20 min for large.
These count as one restricted product and 1/2 cup of veggies. The egg can be counted as part of your "dinner protein serving", just have 2 oz less than you normally would
I just had to say that I made these this morning and they are pretty great. It's just a huge treat to have something that feels like a muffin! I'll be snacking on them throughout the day for sure. I'm also glad to have some way to use up the oatmeal packets because I really hate them.
Thanks!

So we can eat all 12 bite size muffins in one day!?!?!
So we can eat all 12 bite size muffins in one day!?!?!
If you consider that it's really 1/2 a cup of veggies, 1 packet and part of your serving of dinner protein, there isn't much else to the whole batch. You would only have 2 other packets in the day and (as mentioned) 2 oz less meat at dinner as well as 1/2 C less veggies. Yeah it makes sense that you could eat them all in a day. They are pretty small as far as mini muffins go, but they are filling!
Is it as good as a giant slice of double chocolate cake? NO. But a giant slice of double chocolate cake will just end up on my hips!
I've been on the diet for 14 days and lost 9.5 pounds. None of my pants fit. So it's totally worth it if you can commit to the program.
IP Products I actually look forward to eating:
Cookies-n-Cream Bar
Caramel Nut Bar
Cream of Chicken Soup
IP Products I eat and don't complain about:
Vegetable Chili
Cappuccino Drink
Chocolate Premade (ready-to-drink) Drink
Pina Colada Drink
Herb & Cheese Omelet
Chocolate Pudding (but I add a Splenda to it)
IP Products that I wouldn't eat again:
Tomato & Basil Soup (because it's got a strange after taste and it's pink - no food should be pink)
I hope this helps. The diet works but your mindset is all important. Good Luck. Hope to see you posting about your success soon.
I'm a real creature of habit! I only use the choc drink mix and the BBQ ridges. I went to the clinic today and they didn't have any BBQ ridges (I was tempted to cry like a baby and stomp my feet...but I kept control of myself!) I ended up getting the BBQ Soy Nuts, haven't tried them yet..hope they are good!
