As far as I know, it does not hold up to heat. When not on IP, I use ground flaxseed for fiber and omega3. I also take fish oil. Flaxseed is very healthy. I don't know if flaxseed oil is ok on IP. I'm sure someone will know and chime in!

Its funny that I have just started to get comments from people that I see every day. One of the guys I work with told me I was looking great yesterday - it made me smile the rest of the day. My kids ages 8, 9, 9 & 10 were telling me last night that they thought I had lost enough weight and should go off my diet. They even said that they were saving some of their Easter candy for me!!
We are off to a local Little League fun day today. Hope everyone has a great OP weekend!
i could almost cry reading your post. i can not wait to see the 100's it has been at least 5 years. i will get there, and so will you

Does that mean it is OK to drink that soda on the IP program?
Sorry. the rootbeer is sweetened with aspartame so it is out. My mistake.

The Crush sodas are the ones sweetened with sucralose.

how much do you have to lose, SaskDragonfly?

Hello to you too! I do not have a goal weight in mind yet as I do not even remember when I was at a healty weight. I would like to lose at least 50 pounds. If all goes well, I would like to lose 80 pounds in total.

I feel so empowered on this program!

You look amazing...congratulations. Keep up the great work!

So after dropping 14 pounds...you'd think my pants wouldn't fit anymore...but nope, they still fit, pretty much the same as when I started..in the waist at least. They are baggier in the thighs, and I can see caves in my upper stomach where some weight must have dropped from, but Idk..just makes me feel like I haven't made any progress
Weekend is almost over. My niece made homemade choc. chip cookies that are sitting on my counter being evil, but I haven't given in yet. Today we are going out for lunch for mother's day...should be interesting

Have a Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there!
And a good IP day for all!

14 lbs is lots of progress! Your pants will be falling off soon enough. Celebrate what you have accomplished!

Happy Mother's Day to everyone!

I have lost 48 lbs and am stuck with size 16 pants that are baggy everywhere except the waist.... so I am moving on and eventually I will be in a 14 and beyond... I ran into a friend at the off leash this morning, she didn't have enough good words to say. She wants me to come shopping at her place when she gets back from a business trip so maybe I will have a lot of cool clothing next weekend. I can't wait, she always has such nice clothing. I love the results of IP and am so close to my 1/2 way point in my goal, I am very excited about that... wake up every morning excited what the day will bring.

Happy Mother's day everyone.

Please don't be discouraged. Do you realize how much you've lost already? Give your body a chance to catch up.

As for those things on your counter-- can you be sure that she takes all of them with her when she leaves? Don't give into their calling your name. I noticed that you added "yet" about not giving in. You're not actually thinking about eating any of those are you? You're stronger than they are.

YOU CAN DO IT!!!
I know you can!

Have a wonderful Mother's Day!

I am thrilled for you! I can't wait until I can say that. I've only been on a short while, but already I can see and feel changes. Oh, the look on everyone's faces will be wonderful!

You know, it's sorta funny how people lose weight. I've noticed that my waist is getting a little smaller, but not my butt or hips. I'd love to lose this 'shelf' that had become my backside or the bulges that are my legs, but instead I've got this smaller waist that isn't doing me any good, because I can't get into smaller pants yet. Crazy, huh?

Keep up the wonderful work! I look forward to reading about how you're doing!

I know, I have been waiting for 100's for years! Probably close to 20 years since I have been there. We will both be there soon! I am so looking forward to summer this year.

I know how you feel, I can still wear the same jeans as when I started, and I have lost 39 lbs. They are baggier but they don't look bad. The jeans I can wear in my closet right now are sizes 16, 14 and 12's.

I look at it this way though, at least I don't have to spend alot of money on in-between sizes. I can wait until I am at goal to buy all new!!

First off, Happy Mother day to you wonderful Moms out there~!

Second, I have been on maintenance, but it's not going so well. I just need to get myself back up. I really do need this support online. I was so committed for 5 months and lost 60 pounds but then when they said, You can go on maintenance, I haven't been in the right mind set through it yet. I haven't even been on here reading posts but I'll try try try my hardest to get back on to reading at least every few days. I have gained about 7 pounds since maintenance, but I don't want to gain more, which is where I'm heading if I don't get it together. Thanks all for reading, and congrats to all of you who have stuck with it.

OK...I just tried the IP Chocolate Pancake, what's the trick to making pancakes rather than a pile of mush? I ate it anyways, and it tasted pretty good, but was hoping for more of a "pancake" treat for Mother's Day!
Any suggestions?
