Okay guys, I need some help. Today will be my 15th day on the program and I am still sore and have low energy. The cravings went away at 7 days on the program (thank goodness for that!), but I was sure all other symptoms would be gone after two weeks.

What has been your experience with this? Has anyone else taken more than 2 weeks to adjust?

I appreciate any response, you all are awesome!

I had WI#2 yesteday and lost another 5lbs and 2.5 inches-this time around my lower body instead of my upper body-woohoo!

Hubby wanted to go to Red Lobster for lunch/dinner so we did, I tried some halibut and hated it, so I munched on my broccoli and got some Chick-fil-a grilled chicken to eat instead. Hubbdy had a LOT of biscuits, an appetizer and a huge meal-couldn't really even start the meal. I was good an just grabbed a biscuit, inhaled and put it back down. I honestly wasn't tempted as badly as I thought I was.

I was SOOO tired yesterday from my 3am classes that I pooped out around 2:30 and when I got home from running errands went to bed at 3:30pm until around 2:30am for my class. Thankfully today is the last day and I will be back to a normal schedule.

Planning on going to the farmers market this afternoon to pick up veggies and some nice meat-thinking steak for dinner.

Congratulations to everyone for their loses and NSV's!!

I feel good today, after my cough drop debacle yesterday. I didn't even look at their sugar content. Nothing I can do about it now anyway.

Last night my husband and I got brave and ventured away from the 2 cups of raw vegetables or stir fry and he made me ground turkey stuffed bell peppers for dinner! The recipes still needs a little work, but I loved it! (My husband isn't on the program, he's teaching me how to cook.

Any tips for stuffed bell peppers? We had cucumbers and fresh jalapenos (which I was surprised to learn aren't hot at all) cooked in the turkey and stuffed them in green bell peppers. It was good, but mostly just tasted green. I want to pep it up!

Happy Thursday everyone!
I posted a recipe on the recipe thread 2, grate COLD Califlower, 2 cups worth and use instead of rice. Adds bulk and picks up the flavors of everything else. Use leeks instead of onions. Don't forget your garlic! I also like to add in some diced tomatos because it adds some flavor.

I AM FREEZING!!
I have always been a hot sleeper, and last night I had to add an extra blanket!!
Anyone else?
Thanks for all the inspiration guys!!
I had one night where I froze too, I think it was day 4 or 5 as well. I was shivering I was so cold. My husband was giggling and trying to cover me in more blankets while trying to act concerned. The next night I was hot. I really haven't had either extreme since. I am normally on the colder side.

Default leave that comfort box

Ok everyone this is a challenge...to get out of your comfort box...this weekend do something new and different...
go paintball, take an exercise class, find a 5k, go take a dance class; ever want to try zumba, belly dancing is fun-yes I tried a class..how about going shooting at the gun range.. anything..just new and different, something that makes you feel alive and exhilerated...then tell us about it on Monday...
a hike always works...or take a judo class...In San Antonio I can help with that..

Well I ordered that Red swimsuit I was talking about..and I was so excited...
put it on and it was tooooo bigggg...I laughed so hard..I worked all those pounds for the suit and it was to big...so the hunt is back on...
Oh I love this...
Now I am going to be looking for a new dress for a wedding where my family will see my weight loss for the first time...I will finish that 4 lbs...

have a great weekend...live life just don't sit back and watch it....

I spoke to my coach and she also said that if i start to get full at dinner, she would prefer I eat the meat & veggies rather than the lettuce....just be careful because the lettuce adds bulk and helps to prevent constipation. But you are right, it's funny how each coach/clinic seems to have their own rules. Our clinic says it's ok to have 1 restricted a day during phase one. I made the choice last week to do only non-restricteds to see if it makes a difference. We shall see.

Happy Friday everyone!

I have a little less time in than you, but at this point I'd say my experience is about the same. Napped for 1 1/2 hours yesterday. Granted, I was almost doing that every day before, but I can't say I feel totally peppy. Been feeling quite hungry the last couple of days as final. Fingers crossed for both of us.

Thanks hollyfer. I took a 2 hour nap yesterday as well. It's good to know I'm not the only experiencing these symptoms. Here's to continuing even through the struggle!

This was not a good week for me or my mom (who has been on IP for almost 10 months). I only lost .6 pounds and she GAINED .4!Neither of us cheated. I feel so bad for her because she has worked so hard to reach her goal and she's so close, but has only lost about 1 pound in the last month.

I also find, despite going into week 4, that my cravings are getting a little stronger than they were last week. I so badly want to indulge in just one thing, but I know I can't. And there's no IP product that can fill the void. The last 2 days in particular have been hard.

I'm also a little nervous because I know we're not supposed to do a lot of physical stuff and I'm helping my fiance move today - I hope I don't screw anything up!

I hope everyone is having a good day and hoping for great losses from those of you weighing in today!

I dont eat alot of lettuce, but I have a big organice spring salad once a day, and it counts towards my two cups of veggies. Have never had the big C...things tend to move twice a day nicely lol sorry about the tmi info lol..

Was at a meeting with ip last night, and learned some new info. Now I am in canada, so not sure how it applies to the americans

The new dark chocolate and blueberry pudding wont be in rtd formats since they are made at a different place, germany I believe.

Was told the olive oil we need daily should NOT be used to cook, changes the structure of the oil and how our body uses it, She said best to drizzel over salad, use PAM too cook with!

There are no medications at all in any of the packets. And all the natura vitamins have a stamp on them that proves you get exactly 100 percent of the vitamin. Sometimes cheaper companies vary on the amounts you get.

We are getting exactly the same amount of Protien on this diet, that the CANADIAN FOOD GUIDE recomends, just not the same fat and carbs. So you can tell people who make fun of you eatting out of a foil package that loll

Also something interesting.........for the last four years, the canadian forces has been studying the IP packets, and now they will be included in the hard rations the troops will be eatting while in Iraq, etc. I was in the military for 25 years, and I know how hard it is to get them to change things. If they change something big like this means its really nutrionous for our troops. They need the protien alot since the stress they are in is unreall and they need their body to be in top shape and alert.

And..........some funny tibits, the lady giving the speech was skinny like a model, told us she didnt lose weight but tried each phase for two weeks to understand what we are going through. Then she said she could only do the phase on the week days because she loved her wine too much HAHAH, silly goose. Kind of lost my opionio of her a bit. Plus she was missing two side teeth. So being in the dentistry domaine, what do you think I was looking at half the night, Her missing tooth. I figure someone who controls 67 ip clinics, should at least have a smile half decent since were all looking at her.

I was also told there will be meetings coming up for those on phase 4, and she is in the process of sending recipies to coaches now.

Today i will get one for tia chicken with the wf peanut butter, will post it on here tonight after work~~

Truth is it took me a good month to feel the energy boost. I think everyone's body adjusts differently. I was begging my husband to allow me to quit because I just could not deal with the side effects. Now in week 13 and I have lots of energy and really miss those afternoon naps. To much get up and go to lie down and sleep. You will get there. Let you body be your guide and soon will have all the energy you could ever want.

Yesterday was my first WI! Technically it was 10 days but anyway, I lost 7 lbs and my husband lost 11! I was hoping for more since it was a longer week but will try harder this week. I feel that I may not have been getting enough olive oil or salt and at times, was unable to finish my IP product or veggies so I may have gone into "starvation mode" they said! oopsss... so this week I will be more careful and I am not going to have any restricted foods so that I may have a better week next week! Whenever I start to feel like I can't do this, I come on here and read everyone's encouraging posts and it gives me the motivation to keep going so thanks to everyone who has shared!

About the exercise... I got the ok to walk as much as I want, swim, and ride my bike. And also do my exercises for my back/core strength. My coach said as long as I don't do anything that uses up all my glucogen it's ok. That means just don't go crazy like run or get really out of breath. Hopefully you didn't get too out of breath moving things!

Also, Jordanna who used to be on here, was on IP for a while but eventually her coach took her off, and I think it was before the 10 month mark. Her coach said it's not healthy to stay on IP for such long periods of time. Have you asked your coach about how long you can stay on IP? Perhaps you should go to phase 4 for a while then re-start? Ask your coach because 10 months seems like a long time to stay on IP. I'm sorry to hear that the past few days have been so hard for you. Hang in there and be sure to ask your coach about going off IP and re-starting to speed up your weight loss.
