JUICE...I have had to evenings that were planned cheats, mostly alchohol (more then a little) and the scale was up several pounds the next day but this does level out after a few days. I notice with mine I will not lose the cheat week but the next week loses start again.

DARBS...you are such an inspiration!!!

RONDAR...I'm sorry for your loss. Glad your back with us.

Been off the board busy at work and sick to sick to even read posts :( but much better now thankfully.

I had WI #13 today and I lost 2 lbs. I'm happy with that, I'm almost at my 2nd goal of 145 lbs. Actually when I weigh in the morning (on my scale) I'm 146 feels so good. I don't even remember a time when I was in the 140's. I feel great!!!

I am struggeling with phase II and the extra protien, I need to be more prepared.

QUESTION: I told my coach today that I had been sick and a lot of the water that I drank , the last few days, was in the form of hot tea, she told me that didn't count as water, I said even if it's decaf herbal and she said no it has to be just plain water. I was under the impression this counted and thoughts????

Rondar,

So sorry for your loss. My thoughts are with you and your family.

My 89 year old Dad lives with us (Mom died 6 years ago). I try to treasure each day. I hope your memories help you in this difficult time.

Lynn

(151) it had been several days since the beers, so maybe that water weight flushed. trying to get off the dt. pop and back to the water and throw my veggies back in. we can do this!

Sorry for your loss....glad to see you are doing better.

Yes, you should be you are not adding carbs (just meat and most have zero carbs). Some people can have 50 or more carbs some up to 100 and stay in ketosis.

I totally can relate to your more than a little (drink) comment. When I have my cheat times it is the same thing. Also, my coach says pure water only...nothing else counts as water...not exactly sure why.

Good Morning All...

Thanks Darbs....I normally drink the water just plain but I could have sworn hot tea was ok if it was decaf. Oh well you do the best you can with what you have.

Have a great OP day everyone.

I agree "do the best you can" our coaches live in an extreme world which is not doable long-term, but their intentions are good.

I cannot get more than 2 packets a day. With 4 cups of vegetables, 2 litres of water, lettuce and 2 packets, I am literally stuffed to the point that my stomach hurts! I am wondering if it is okay to stick to 2 packets. Could somebody tell me if this is THAT bad...

You don't say how tall your are or what you weight, so it's really almost impossible to answer your question with any accuracy. However, in general, if you aren't getting enough protein to sustain muscle mass, YES, it is bad.

I agree, GiGi. A drink only is a little more than a cup of liquid more, and has the protein you need. I'm sure you can get that little extra down. It would be better to sacrifice one cup of the water for the protein, if that was you only choice.

But I know you can do it!

darbs thanks for the feed back on phase II, I have 1 week and 1day usntil my coach wants me to start phasing off so I will be ready before my trip to Jamaica, if I loose 2 more lbs I will be at 90%, which is totaly do able by next weekend, however I still would like to get to 95% so I wanted to make sure I would still be in Ketosis, because I wanted to loose another 9lbs before my trip.

rondar: sorry for your lose, it is good to see you back.

Coach said that most people still lose in phase II so I may be able to get at least 6lbs more off, before phase III

isn't that so true! and everyones opinion and committment levels are different. i think as long as it's decaf, go for it! i see alot of people who will argue about if the water you add to your protein counts to your total too. toe-mato .... tah-mato...lol!

ginbam- Jamaica! woo hoo! are you taking a two piece or one? my legs are as ugly as my stomach, if only the 30's swimsuit would come back in style!

So sorry for your loss rondar...

I really enjoy this thread.. It's nice to see all of the seasoned people who I have learned so much from these past 10 weeks or so..

I am recommitting tonight ( after an unplanned little cheat) Like someone just said...
Failing to plan, is planning to fail or something like that. So true . I need to really not get relaxed about this or I'm going to gain it all back in maintenance.
Thanks everyone , I learn so much. I am enjoying this journey and I know one night of a cheat is not going to make me gain 35 lbs back, but I'm just mad that I let myself mentally give up for a few seconds of wonderfulness. Tomorrows a new day!!

Don't be afraid, read up on the life after phase 1 thread, lots of great ideas, and some "structure" too. Try some hardboiled eggs on your lunch salad? or add a can of tuna or salmon? or even just some reduced fat cheese...

All coaches are different. Most I have heard say herb tea counts as water. You'll have to see how it affects you and how you feel, I guess. If you are not losing as you'd like, try upping your water...it's all about how your liver processes water (which it needs to clear fat).

Lettuce is less important. Get your water and packets first and if you are still hungry, then add lettuce. It's ok, you'll get it to work!
