  • Quote: Forgot to ask you, how is the OM ready to eat bacon? I have been avoiding the bacon because of the price ($8.99 a pound for OM bacon?) but noticed the ready to heat is substantially cheaper. Just was leery of it... just doesn't sound right, you know?
Just lurking but wanted to mention the Kirkland Signature Hormel pre cooked thick sliced bacon I found at Costco. Cheaper per slice than the small packs at the grocery store and tastes much closer to regular bacon because of the cut. And yes, I know I'm not supposed to be eating it yet.. I keep it in the freezer as the pieces sit individually on parchment so I pull out what is needed.

I'm in Canada but they might have it where you are too..
  • Just wanted to bump this thread to keep it easy to find.
  • Jemma, check out the Life after Phase 1 threads too.
  • Made a delicious breakfast burrito yesterday....don't have all the nutrition info on hand, but I'll give the basics because it was SUPER easy!

1 piece Fit & Active Whole Grain Flatbread: 110 cal
OM Fully Cooked Bacon (3 slices): 80 calories
1 slice Happy Farms Cheddar (Aldi brand): 80 cal
    2 Egg Whites: 50 cal
    Spinach (just a handful): minimal

To up my calories and get my fruit in, I also had 1 cup of fresh raspberries (we have 4 bushes on the side of our house....mmmmm) mixed with 4 oz. of fat free Greek Yogurt and a little splenda.

With all these raspberries, I made a take on my Waffle/Banana recipe I posted a few days ago and used multigrain waffles topped with Nuefchatel cheese, raspberries and then drizzled warm WF chocolate sauce over top. My kids kept saying, "Are you sure this is on your diet, Mom?" For extra protein, I had 2 egg whites with franks hot sauce as my side dish. Mmmmm....sweet and spicy!
  • My DH made waffles for me this morning, but it was too late for me to get to work on time! I had to make do with a protein shake... I 'm saving them for tomorrow morning and doing your recipe, nummy!

  • Bumping
  • Bumping for my fellow IPeeps entering P3!
  • Rayze, i've been eating more according to the 2013 sheet than the 2014 sheet because it works better for me. I buy all organic, etc.

    A few breakfasts :
2 slices thin sliced daves killer bread
tbsp butter (or almond butter )
    smaller apple
2 eggs. Large, not extra large or jumbo.
    Or
    2 eggs
1 serving super oats Chia with 1/2 serving yogurt and 1 cup blueberries
    and other variations
    hope that helps.
  • Love all these recipes, now you're making me itch to phase out.

I clicked the link for LizRR's recipes but it went to an error page. Does anyone have a more up to date link or would be willing to email it to me, please, as those look amazing.

Thank you everyone who has contributed, you are inspirational with how you manage the macro game!

Hi Briael - I'm not sure what link you were trying... I do remember LizRR posting tons of great sounding P3 breakfast recipes. Many of them appear earlier in this thread, in the beginning, around September 2012. Stuff like peach bread pudding, lemon ricotta pancakes... oh what the heck, I will cut and paste the links to her recipes that I saved in a document:
