First of all congratulations to everyone that lost weight, inches or both this week and for staying on plan.

Almond breeze unsweetened almond milk - ¼ cup has 10 calories, 0 carb, 0 fiber and 1 fat. But, on the other hand if you used ¼ cup IP RTD it has 25 calories, 1 carb, 4 protein, 1 fiber and 1 fat. That is the beauty of using online programs like my fitness pal dot com. Plug in what you want to check and compare the stats. Quote:

Forgive me if I have not addressed every single one of you. Y'all are posting left and right and if you miss just ONE day you are behind :dizzy: This plan really does work. I fit into size 14 pants and when I started I was wearing size 20. I’ve lost 44 lbs since starting 10/17/10. I had a party at my house on 10/16/10 and I ate all the carbs I could fit into my mouth then started the next day. Needless to say Sunday, Monday and Tuesday were a b*tch! Not a recommended way to start this diet! |
Happy Saturday! I had a meltdown last night and went after Stacy's pita chips like a fool. My head is back on today and think I needed that moment of carelessness to move ahead. This is the toughest eating experience of my life (next to pregnancy illness) and realize now I could NEVER be on Survivor. 36 days without eating would put me in a rubber room. :yikes:

Good morning everybody. Today is my second day of IP. I had a rough end of the night yesterday - I couldn`t bring myself to swallow the second Cal-Mag, and couldn`t finish my IP Bar (Snack) I was so full and was almost crying. Thankfully my SO was there to console me.
I woke up this morning and had my IP chocolate pudding. I am not sure what I am going to do for lunch - I have seen some people posting about putting the chili over a bed of lettuce or other greens - I might try this today for lunch seeing as I am not a veggie fan but maybe this will work! Yesterday when I stepped on the scale in the morning before eating it read 288.8 - this morning when I woke up it reead 285.0 - I know it is only one day, but it is encouraging to see it drop nonetheless! My weigh-in is on Thursday and I feel like this program may not be as life-ending as I thought! It is motivating and inspiring to see everybody`s losses on and off the scale. Plans for the day are to possibly go to the golf dome and shwack some balls with my man. Here`s to a successful day for everybody! |

Happy to crack you up! I'd post pictures, but it's truly horrifying. Kind of funny, but I just ordered some new lounge pants for my post surgery lazing around. My old ones were too big and sadly, the new ones are on the cusp of being too big! But they are soooooo comfy. |

Jess, That is so awesome you bought size 8! I tried on size 8 last week and they fit, but I just bought 4pair of 10's a few weeks back, so I'm living with them hanging off me for a bit. :^: You'll rock that bikini when you get your boobs hacked off! :carrot: I can't wait to see your results! Everyone have an awesome weekend. Be an IP poster child this weekend and fight those nasty tempations! YOU CAN DO IT!!! |

It's so funny to me that I can wear the bikini bottoms already. I was needing bottoms of some sort because we're going to Portland at the end of February and while I'm sure that I'm not going to be allowed to be soaking in the hot tub yet, I certainly intend to get my bottom half in! I suspect I may end up having to buy another set of bottoms this summer. OH DARN! |

Portland will be fun - we're going for a couple of days for a business trip for Roger, so I won't be doing a ton, but I suspect that by that time, I'll be ready to get out of town! Never been to the Gorge, but I've always wanted to. We were going to go see Rush when they played the White River amphitheater on the west side last fall, but it just wasn't a good weekend for us to go. R heard on the radio that they were touring again this summer, doing the same show that they did last year, so he's really excited. I just hope the weather is decent - 4th of July is so iffy around here... |
from fridays thread- i was kinda sickish so i went to bed instead of posting when i got home...
Coqui- i'm so happy for you to have your sister join IP. 3FC forum is my lifeline, but having some one face to face has got to be great support. someone who isn't looking at your little packet in the lunch room at work thinking you are on another crazy diet!!! good luck to both of you! Lilly0618- i hope you have someone video your hubby seeing you for the first time! you are going to, right? i can't wait to hear about it, when is he coming home? and as for the co-workers and the cake and pizza.....my experience was the first couple of weeks i hated everyone for eating anything i couldn't have, and sometimes told them so violently! then one day i realized my family (and coworkers, who i spend more time with than my family unfortunately) don't deserve to live in fear of my outrage over their food. so i just stopped. just like that. tv isn't going to stop running commercials about food, restaurants aren't going to change their menus and people are not going to stop eating to suit me. something we will have to deal with the rest of our lives. it'll drive you crazy, hope you can find a way to let it go and be happy.... and what is more awesome than getting on the scale and seeing progress or having a NSV, right? ;) CheekyWit- quote "I scour these posts when I feel like eating - I can get sucked in and forget all about food - so a huge shout out to those of you who post it keeps me honest and motivated"------ME TOO! ditto on the thank you! slickmouse- re: spreading out proteins thru the day-------- imo since none of the allowed foods create an insulin spike response in the body, you should eat in response to your physical hunger. that isn't always the case when you are eating alot of simple carbs and riding the insulin rollercoaster of hunger pains...that is what kept us craving more junk all the time before IP. if it means splitting something and eating 1/2 then do so... i have been measuring and packaging my meals and veggies in 2 cup pyrex bowls and i eat out of my bowl a couple of bites to calm my hunger, then put it away for later. like everyone says, you have to adjust to your personal body signals. we don't all have the same body schedule of hunger, there are so many variables-- activity, sleep, stress, hormones, etc.... and as for CUPCAKES......darn little delights they are, try lindora chocolate fudge cake packets. makes a cute little cake in a small pyrex bowl in about 2 min from the micro... make one and take with you as part of your program on those party days! DinobowerRN--quote--"day 11 and fighting cravings. sigh. I have been very good and have not cheated once and I don't want to mess this up. Do the cravings ever truely go away?? Well, I guess I will go do some dishes and make a cup of tea"----yes they do go away, but (imo) you should have been past that point by now for the most part. i have noticed several people on the thread talking about "small cheats" i.e. had some fruit, or one bite of cake, or licking fingers and spoons kinda thing. imo- this is where understanding the science of ketosis has to be firm. one bite, can keep you from where you want to be as far as diminished cravings etc. if you have to cheat have an extra protein, or even a diet pop would be better than a bite of cake or just 1 piece of candy... like juiceman? i think says- is it worth $50 and 3 days to get back into a strong ketosis? so i guess what i'm saying is maybe review your journal and make sure it is clean... and keep that hot tea handy! besides it's supposed to get colder this weekend in wonderful wyo! :hug Mrs Diettrich----i am dreaming of a size 8 :cp: petiteandcute---it is a struggle trying to dress age appropriate isn't it! i agree about not wanting to be wearing what the 16 year olds are, but heck with the granny stuff too! and at a size 6 boy do you have options!!! :dizzy: Hope everyone has a great weekend!! :grouphug: Quote:
good job on being ready with your menu- what a great way to set your self up for success! have you tried the kale chips yet? or maybe the turnip fries... made some of those last night an DH kept stealing them off my plate! :rollpin: hey all dog lovers in the group- i am in the local paper for people and their pets next week. they take a pic of the pet and owner separately, then readers guess which pet belongs to who. next week they put in the together pictures! darn dog would not hold still for his glamor shot! kept trying to kiss me or the camera...:val2: what a nut! |
