Hi Carla,

Welcome back! I've started at the beginning of Dec and read so many helpful recipes, comments, notes, clarifications... from you. I'm glad you had a great vacation.

Glad you had a safe trip and precious time with your family, we had a great visit with grandchildren. Boy! Were they shocked by my appearance. You were greatly missed, you probably don't realize how vaulable you are to this site. Let's all move forward with a great year. Judy

Hey Bretley! I didn't realize you were lurking back then! WOW, you read lots of good stuff. How did you do through the holidays?

Thank you! And, to you too! Time goes by so fast and so many join this time of year, you won't be the newbie for long!

Hello! Thanks for thinking of me. I am sure you all did great. I think it is really a good "exercise" for us to help each other. It really helps each of us get the elements and part of the program well implanted in our brains. Sort of that "do one, teach one" concept.

I really am doing well. How are you holding up this winter?

Hi Josephine, I am glad to hear you have been utilizing all the parts of the forum! It really does have so much to benefit us at all the different forks in the road and phases we encounter. Thanks too for the vacation wishes. I love Virginia! My sister lives in a beautiful, horse area outside of Richmond. We had a light snow for Christmas day eve and the Sunday after. Before that, besides just being cold (for a desert rat), it was a very nice time of year.

I am not officially coaching. I was discussing the bits and pieces of holding my first group meeting the other day.

I have been seeking a Doctor to partner with, not the easiest thing, many love the program but, don't have the space or don't want to get their Medical License involved. I am still searching and I am sure that I will find the right fit soon. In the meanwhile, yes, I will be coaching with another wellness center in my area.

Thanks!! I wondered if they wouldn't be surprised!! I hope you got lots of commendation and praise for all the effort and commitment you've shown! You really have earned it!

Thank you for your sweet words. It is nice to be appreciated. I think each of us lends something very special to this site. I am so thankful to the originals like Torchlaker and BevS (truly the foundational people) who made me feel comfortable and supported my "spouting" off so freely. It has always been a great help for me to be able to be a part of this group. I hope others are finding the same things to be true for themselves.

Carla:

Welcome back. I am new to the forum. I started on 1/3 but I must say I have loved reading all your posts on here. All the information I have gotten from your old posts have been a LIFE SAVER to me.

There seems to be a couple of old timers that seem to get tired of answering the same question over and over again and will let you know they are tired of answering the same question. I find that to be a bit negative and it is a bit of a turn off for a newbie like myself. But what I did see with your posts is you could answer a question over and over again not have a problem with it. As a newbie I truly appreciate that type of ethic.

Again welcome back and I look forward to learning more and more from you and your knowledge of the IP program.

You're welcome and, you are very kind.

Each of us is different with how we approach sharing information. Some people think we learn more by reading it for ourselves and learning how to research the forum, other people think something along the lines "show me you've looked, then I will tell you if you still haven't found it". Given how many people participate in this forum, there are many different learning styles and many shared perspectives too.

I am a researcher but come from a family that isn't, if I had the answer and told them "go look" I would soon be reminded, that they are likely to be overwhelmed by that and give up. I use that and also remember that for each person, the question is often being asked the first time. I just try to keep my responses in the perspective of a new conversation with a new person even though it is an old topic for me. I do think we should all learn how to search the forum and where to possibly find answers (it can be a very helpful tool if you need an immediate answer) but, to do that, I like to start showing people the links where they can begin their search. The search engine on here is often less than productive.

I was very blessed to meet many people when I joined the forum that were helpful and kindly answered what may have been repetitive and ridiculously obvious questions. I was drawn to that spirit and wish to continue to offer that when I participate here.

to the group! Lots of success as you work the program.

Oh, yeah, Carla is back! As others have said, you were missed and I credit so many of your thoughtful and kind and knowledgeable responses to my successful journey. I am maintaining and I only checked in today to see if I might see Carla back and here you are!

So glad you took such delight in your nieces over the holidays and I hope you will get your own collaboration soon with a physician, as your clients will be blessed beyond their wildest dreams.

My best to everyone else on IP, for Carla's ever-present to keep sprinkling on you as you reach your goals. IP does work, so keep asking questions and stick to the program and you will succeed!

my next journey is getting control of the clutter in my house by using an online support group to keep me accountable (including giving away all the clothes that no longer fit me), so I may lurk here occasionally to see how people's tickers keep progressing.

Well, this seems a bit redundant now but...Welcome back Carla! I'm glad to hear you had a great holiday and have returned safely. Happy New Year!

Hey there, Wonder Cat! So glad you are checking in! Don't go far, we would miss you too!

I am so glad you are doing well maintaining. It is sweet of you to say I helped you. I was just one person who supported you on the way. YOU did the work. YOU made it happen! I am so glad and honored that you let me be apart of that process for you.

So, what is this decluttering website??? I won't say I am a hoarder but, I definitely can improve my organization skills! I am slowly going through each part of my house, tossing and decluttering. It is AMAZING how much importance I can place on such silly little things!

Welcome back!

This would be a great thread to put links to your posts on other topics ... thyroid, ketosis, the one today on sugar alcohols, etc. Kind of like the index I once mentioned. What do you think?

Thank you for the welcome! How have you been? I hope you had a wonderful set of holidays.

Yes!! I remember you said that in the past. You are too sweet! (Novak also thought it would be nice to have a place to find some of my posts or have me address specific, regularly occuring topics.)

I guess I just feel strange having a FORMAL soap box!

Should I just try to index/cross reference to old post or should I try to copy paste old things? Not sure exactly what your thoughts on the matter were/are.
