Temptation is everywhere at school and it will be very hard this semester to stay in control especially at night (wed and thursday) and to be honest, I am a bit scared. I have been on protocol for a week and a half and I have never been so motived but by having all this temptation around me is something...

It will take extra discipline to prepare a healthy supper for school. I am up for the challenge and I want to prove to myself so bad that I can do this...

I also wanted to say CONGRATS to all of you for all the efforts you are putting to stay healthy and changing your life!

Have a nice day everyone!!
I understand students rushing from work to class with no time for dinner, but aside from the smell of grease and salt, it's nasty to have to talk over krinkling bags and snapping apples. Maybe the instructor could be persuaded to take the break at the beginning of class so people can eat outside. Then walk in prepared to learn?

Hi there,
I am on day 8 and I thought I would have problems drinking all the water, but that's really all I've been drinking since we really have anything else.
I've had the odd crystal light and that is like a treat!!
You can do it, just wait till you see the numbers go down on the scale!!
Good luck!

you've got the right attitude, and you CAN do this! It just will take more planning to be sure you have the right foods available to you when everyone else is snacking. Try to pack yourself some kind of crunchy snack to take along to class. Maybe celery with some WF dressing to dip it in? Sometimes it helps to have something like that to do with your hands. Stick to it, you are so worth it!

Good morning everyone!!
I am supposed to have my WI#2. I weigh myself this morning and I was just 1.5 pounds lighter than last week. Last week I lost 5.6 pounds.
I know I had a bad yesterday , but I didn't know it was going to affect me so much. I guess I just have to keep trying. I feel like I have lost inches but not much weight, Why is that?
Well, we will see how I do today. Wish me luck!!

Pretty excited about seeing the scale move again. I lost a bit of weight over Christmas but for the most part have stalled out for the past 3 weeks. Between getting back on protocol 100% and making myself accountable to the forum and some forum members, these last few lbs will have no excuse to stay.
Have a great IP day everyone.
Send that wind here to Manitoba, I would like a snow day tomorrow!! LOL

Good luck with getting those last few lbs off!!
You can do it!

OK sorry that was *****y and sarcastic but we all work very hard and we all sacrifice and some of us would kill to lose ?lbs. in a month never mind ? weeks!
Keep your head up you are doing awesome and will be slim and trim in no time at all.

Just remember you didn't get fat overnight it was a process so shouldn't it work the same in reverse!

At least this time we are aware of the changes in our bodies and get to celebrate them instead of looking in the mirror one day and thinking who the heck is that fatass and how did she (or he) steal my life?
I hear ya,
I've never been on a diet where I've lost 6.2 lbs in a week! I am so excited to make this change in my life, to be a healthier, happier person.
Yes, there are times when I would love a piece of bread but I also know from past experiences that I have eaten the bread and thought "why did I do that it wasn't even that good". I know that I'll be able to have all the things I like again, just in moderation. Right now, I am focused on my goal because I don't want to say no to my bathing suit or my shorts because I don't feel comfortable wearing them.
I feel better mentally when I feel better physically, does that make sense?
My niece, who lives with me commented yesterday that I am not such a witch the past week. I guess it has already effected my moods...I feel better.
There are rough patches, I know we've had them and will continue to have them....MIND OVER MATTER!!! We CAN do this!!!
There's my spiel for the morning!!
Have a fantastic Thursday!!

Default Hello everyone!

Hello everyone!!

I hope everybody have a good day today! In Montréal right now it's -6, so not too bad.. we need to not forget that we are in January folks!

Yesterday night was kind of painful for me. And it is the same thing everynights, my stomach makes those sounds it's horrible... What do you think if I take my third IP packet like 30 minutes before going to bed, is it a good idea?

This morning I woke up with the worst headache ever. But after 2 tylenol, a chocolate pudding and my coffee, everything is good right now.

I going to cook the zuchinni chips right now!

Have a good day, and once again thank you for this forum it helps sooo much!

It is and last night was annoying because when people were throwing the bags we couldn't hear the teacher talk..she suggested that there would be a break every hour hopefuly people will eat during the breaks!!!

Thank you SO much for the kind words!!! This helps me to be more motivated and do it right forever!!! The first time I did IP that is what happened..going to school and I would cheat..it was easy..but not anymore! I am worth sooooo much more than a quick BigMac!!!!
For tonight that is exactly what I did! I got my veggies and two hard boiled eggs for supper! I like the feeling of : HA! Look at me I am eating healthy...
I used to feel guilty when people around would eat healthy and I would be eating junk =/

So here goes night number 2 a little later and I will keep you guys posted tomorrow to let you know how it went!

All of my coworkers are at an all-you-can-eat luncheon. I've gone the last two years, I know the food is great but excessive. I chose not to go this year. Drink hot tea, have some veggies...Resist! Resist! Resist! Think of your WI...good luck with that btw. Fingers crossed!

Default Increased scale number with weight lifting

I started September 13th and have lost 3-4 pounds every week without a stall or plateau. I am a 100% kinda gal (as some of you already know). I started intense weight training (with a personal trainer) last Sunday. I have done 2 sessions and today is my third. Nothing has changed about my food intake (still 100% on protocol...eating the same foods I have eaten for four months). The scale has not moved since Saturday. I know the "don't step on the scale every day thing", but it is probably the only thing that has kept me so motivated as it has dropped 95% of the days since I started. Just wondering if any one with months of experience at 100% has seen this.
Can't comment from personal experience of weight lifting on daily scale numbers. However ... weight lifting (strength training) is about breaking down muscle fiber so that it rebuilds stronger. I think most people starting weight lifting, regardless of how they've been eating, see an increase in the scale number after starting to work out. It's a one time thing. If I recall correctly it has to do with glycogen in the muscles and the water required to store it. Your trainer may have info about this.

I'll try to find the information over the weekend and post it. If I forget, feel free to remind me by PM or on the board.
