I just had my 2nd weigh in on Phase II and I am soooo shocked that I am down -3.4lbs!!! Last weeks weigh in sucked and I was wondering if I wouldn't be loosing anything at all on Phase II, but no... this morning I was very happy!! I'm suppose to start Phase III this week but I'm a little nervous about adding even MORE food!??! I feel good now, and I'm really not a breakfast person, I have no time in the mornings to make breakfast!? Any ideas on quick/ grab and go breakfasts?

Congratulations! It takes a while to get the body adjusted to the change, then you start loosing again. I stayed on this phase a week longer because of it.

So the bottom line from my coach...one more week of 2 fruits a day (which he believes will reset and safely wake up the pancreas once more, and then a phase 3-4 combo after that. He's hooked into the evolution diet (how hunter gatherers ate) and wants to incorporate certain aspects of that diet with IP phase 3-4. So I bought the book today to understand more fully what that diet is about. Seems strange to be shifting gears at this point, but both diets stress the low/healthy carb lifestyle, healthy fats and proteins, fruits and vegetables and nuts...so not too far off.

I lost another 1.2 lbs at this weigh in, so I guess we're moving along pretty well!

Guess I'm also going to do 3 weeks on Phase II, coach recommends it and I think its a good idea. Hopefully I can get a bit closer to goal!

I've been on phase 2 for a while now, I am quite happy here! I know I need to hit phase 3 soon, but for my money, phase 2 rocks!

JSP you will enjoy Phase 3 also. The cost will be even lower. I recommend you reach your goal before. I started when I hit 135 and in today's WI I showed no loss, no gain. Some people loose on this phase but some don't. This program states that between Phase 3 and 4 people might experience a one time weight gain of 2 to 5 pounds, as the body adjusts its glycogen levels. I'm no medical expert so I can't explain what that means. All I know it's something that we have to be aware of when setting our goal.

Thanks for the heads up Coqui. I suspect if there is a chance to gain weight, it'll happen to me!

Coqui,

I have been thinking more about your post, and not sure what to do. I want to hit phase 3 on 2/22. My original goal was 130, but I moved it to 127 to figure in the weight gain. I am now at 132, so I am sure I'll hit 130 by 2/22. I am a solid size 6, and not sure if I want to loose more inches (never thought I'd hear myself say that!) This diet sure affects your body shape. The last time I was this size I was 125, but much less toned. Currently 7 lbs heavier, but my clothes are looser (yep, saved some of those clothes). My thought is to hit phase 3 at 130, and not worry too much about the weight gain. Any ideas?

Thanks,

Jenny

It's true that with this diet you look thinner than what the scale shows. That is the reason why I raised my goal from 130 to 135. I'm only an inch taller than you and at 135, I wear sizes 4 and 2 in pants and small tops. When I tell people my weight is 135 they say that my sacle is off, as I look like I'm 120. Don't worry too much about the number in the sacle. Focus on how many inches you have lost. Also if you feel good about the way you look then move on to phase 3. You might not gain any weight after all and if you do, 5 pounds are not going to make a huge difference as long as you follow phase 4 as intended. Listen to your body and do what's best for you. I hope I was able to help somehow in answering your question.
Have a great day!!!

I just had my 3rd weigh in on Phase II and I gained 0.4lbs !? Which I don't really count. It seems to be my thing, one week no loss or very little and the next week is a big #. I'm ok with not having lost any this week, I have a cold and took some cough syrup so that prob set me back. I have one more week before heading to Mexico and I think I will stick to Phase II for now? Maybe loose a couple more before going on our trip.

Thanks again for the advise, it was helpful. I agree, my body shape looks like I am 122, not 132. So weird. I am moving to phase 3 on 2/22 and can't wait for the big breakfasts. My coach thought she would have to talk me into eating all that food. I just looked at her like she was from another planet and said "bring it!" I am so excited about that meal! Waaaahoooo!!

I am really liking Phase 2! I find I am more full with the 2nd 5-8 oz protein choice. I am also finding that my carb count is lower because the meat choices are lower in carbs then some of the IP products.

I have 2 weeks worth of IP products left. I am deciding whether to go alternative or order more IP products next week. I really enjoy the omelet, oatmeal and the choc pudding. I have not tried the bars and am wondering if I should order some other those just to see what they taste like.

I decided to order more IP products. I ordered the carmel nut bars as well. I have felt great on phase 2. I am not hungry at all. Can't wait to get to Phase 3 and enjoy the big breakfast.

Hope everyone has a great IP day.
