  • Quote: No, I used to use my 2C veggies with my lunch salad/lettuce and I think now I will only use 1 1/2C in the salad (with a little less lettuce) and the other 1/2C I will make a soup with so that I am still getting the veggies but can spread out my meals. Make sense ? :s
    Yes. And thanks.
  • Congrats to my husband...who is starting Phase 2 tomorrow. I am still on Phase 1, but holding strong....and working hard!

Oh, this is wonderful, especially the having-someone-to-do-the-program-with part. (see note on walking) A potential partner?
  • Hi, I am starting Phase 2 today and really looking forward to it.
  • I know I basically just started and have a long way to go but I honestly can't wait to beginning phasing out. To me it is going to be such an accomplishment. Congrats to all of you that have already hit these phases...
  • After more than 2 weeks on Phase 2, I finally reached my goal and just started Phase 3 today. I have been looking forward to a regular breakfast, but it was hard to finish all the food. I ate 2 whole grain toasts, 1 egg, coffee with a cup skim milk and 1 apple. I used to eat more than this and still be hungry and I even had to have a snack two to three hours later. To my surprise, lunch time came around and I was not hungry. I had ahi tuna steak with a salad, but I could not finish the whole 7 oz. It’s been two hours and I feel like I just ate a lot of food. I’m so hopping this is the way my body is going to react to food from now on. IP not only has taught me healthy eating habits but also portion control, and so far I haven't crave sweets. One more meal and snack left. I’m curious how I’m going to feel this evening, and if all the cravings are coming to attack.
  • Why am I not losing weight?
Okay, I'm a phase one addict. I freely admit. I LOVED phase one. Quick and easy and I love the foods. I started Sept. 25th and have lost 72 pounds.

I switched to phase 2 (mostly) with a few days when I had to do a packet at lunch instead of a meat protein. I had about 5 more pounds I wanted to lose.

I haven't lost anything in almost 3 weeks? I'm glad I'm maintaining, but I'm wondering if I should kick it up to phase one again to get these last few pounds off? Any advice?

Maybe your body's telling you something and you didn't catch it? I don't know what your bone structure is, or body composition, but if you've lost lots of fat and you look good, you're sure at a healthy weight for your height.
  • So far so good on Phase 3. I start my day with the breakfast and the rest of the day is easy to handle. No hunger, no cravings. Every meal is more than satisfying. I'm still having a hard time eating everything. If someone ever told me I would be saying this one day I would've never believed it. I use to be hungry all the time. We'll see how the rest of the week goes.
  • Opinions needed....my coach put me on a modified ph 3. Adding 2 fruits a day with meals. Not the usual egg, bacon toast yogurt and fruit which is the protocol. So I"m on 3 reg. meals, 2 fruits and 1 snack. I asked him why. He said due to the dizziness I was having and to shed those extra few pounds.
I did it for about 4-5 days, then I just started getting this urge to due the original ph3 being afraid I was not restarting my engine the way this plan says you should. I mean there's a reason this stuff is laid out the way it is, right?

So today I had 1 egg, one chicken sausage, 2 oz oatbran cereal, yogurt and 7oz of berries. It was amazing to eat all that.

So...what does everyone think of the 2 fruits a day w/o the usual IP breakfast. My coach said do the 2 fruits modified ph 3 for 2 weeks, then he was switching me to the regular ph 3.

    Any thoughts? Thanks everyone

I'm starting to think the same way! As much as I wished to get to the next phase while in phase I, now that I am here I kinda want to go back!?

I have been on phase II for almost 2 weeks and don't think I have lost anything either and although like you, I and pleased that I have been able to maintain - I still want to loose more!! I think when I get back from my trip to Mexico I will go back to phase I till I am at goal, then phase out again! ? Phase I was sooooo much easier! :P

I'm tempted to do that too. I know 5-6 pounds isn't much and I just really want to nip it in the bud! If I did go P1 for a few days, then would I have to do another 1-2 weeks on P2, or just skip right to P3?
  • I think you would still have to do 2wks of P2, I wouldn't chance it. The whole point of phasing out is so that you don't gain it all back?
  • I have never seen that modified version of phase 3. Maybe one of the experts can help. You should post this in other threads like the daily one to see if one them can help.
  • I am currently still in phase 1...I have been on since 10/4 and am ready to be done...it is just costing too much. I have a lot of people telling me I don't need to be at my goal weight...I will be too sick looking??? My birthday is April 16th and I have just decided that I will be on phase 4 by then. My plan is to start phase two the middle of March, phase 3 April 1st and be off by the 15th It will be 6 months so...hopefully it will all work out that way. I feel great. As a matter of fact, my anniversary is Sunday (2/13) and if I can lose another 2 lbs I will weigh what I weighed 18 years ago on my wedding day So...I will be 22 lbs from my goal this weekend (I am hoping). I didn't get to weigh in last week and with the snow we are about to get...I am just hoping to weigh in this week. I am still kinda stuck on my scales...just because that is what I will be using forever
Anyway, I am excited about this thread. I love IP and I love each of you! Keep it up everyone!!
