Hello everyone. I've been away from the board for a bit, and I have been trying to catch up on all of the GREAT posts. Everyone has been doing so well through the Holidays!!!!

I went on vacation at the beginning of December and had a marvelous time with my son and his family. I did cheat, but tried very hard to stay on protocol at least half of the time. I'm happy to say that my weight has not gone up (lucky is more like it), but I haven't seen the loses like I would nomally have had. We spent Christmas with my in-laws and lots of NSVs from all of them. On Christmas Eve we grilled filet mignon and my brother in law took the time to trim all fat and butterflied mine open before grilling (I like mine grilled with no pink inside). He is also eating healthy, so it was great that he supported me in this way. Christmas was easy, I took a chicken breast to eat as my main course. The planned main course was prime rib and I can totally avoid that because of the way it has to be cooked (way to rare for me). I avoided all desserts and was glad I did. Like everyone else, I did notice the food hangover and the tummy not feeling well. Ugghhh. Was not worth it and I'm very glad to be back on plan. I've had a hard time getting in the 3rd IP packet this week. I really have to re-arrange my eating schedule to get that in. I can tell the difference in the way I feel when I don't have that 3rd one. I feel very sluggish and tired.

Congrats to everyone!!! Big welcome to all of the newbies, you will totally love this new way of eating.

Default Yay!

Had WI # 5 last night and down 2 more pounds!!!!!!!
(even after my very minimal cheat on xmas...had a small piece of cake)

Down a total of 18 pounds!!!!!!!!!!! woot woot!!!!!!

I am SO EXCITED!! I thought for sure that the cake would sabatoge my weight loss for the week. Could it be that im learning self control and knew to only have a small dessert???? I hope so!!!!

Im so happy to ring in the new year and be on my journey to a healthy, happy, and adorable new me

Everyone has done so well over the holidays and its truly inspiring!!!!

Everyone have a lovely Wednesday

I have been away from the program for awhile but want to get back on track ASAP.

I emailed my coach this morning as I want to meet with her this week to get started again.

I look forward to cheering you all on and sharing my losses with you.

Not too sure how much I weigh right now. I will post my ticker after I meet with my coach.

Morning! Weigh in was not too horrible this morning. Gained 3 pounds but I surely thought it would be a lot more after the 2 off protocol weeks I had. Back on track as of yesterday and ready to go!

Default Newpie- week 2

Good Morning,

I am starting my 2nd week, so far I am doing good. Learning to drink all my water and keeping my salt intake. One question I have is about exercise. I have been very active before starting on the IP diet, just finished training for a 1/2 marathon before I started IP. I did not lose hardly any weight when I was training and became quite frustrated.

Now that I have started the IP diet, I have lost 6 lbs, more loss than when I was training and doing strength training. I am so happy.

I have been doing light exercise during my first week on the IP, and feel fine. Is this okay?

Good morning! Day one of IP so far is ok. The cereal...ew. I ate it, though.

It's so great to see all of you on here, supporting each other and doing your best. Thanks for the welcome (in the introductions section), and hope you have a great day!

Hi CBrooks,
When I started adding in exercise I felt OK for a couple weeks, then I was feeling light headed, dizzy, run down, etc. My coach had me add in an extra packet and sometimes extra food (2 oz tuna, or an egg) on exercise days. It has made all the difference for me. I haven't noticed any difference in my rate of loss, but have noticed a huge difference in my muscle tone and overall feeling of well being. You should consult with your coach to see if they have any recommendations for you in case you start feeling poorly.

HAA HAA - I'm on day 2 today and thankfully never picked any of the cereal! Today's challenge will be to try and keep track of how many times you needed to p! This water thing will take me a while to get used to, but 4 cups in so far!

Third day back on protocol and I'm still graving something all the time. Too bad that I chose to cheat on Christmas day - it really wasn't worth to do

Default A newbie's first lesson

Thinking I was miss smarty-pants I was scrolling through the board this morning and realized I had a cappuccino mix...I sprinted into the kitchen, shook er' up and popped it into the microwave before coming back to read some more. Here is where the lesson comes in.
DO NOT walk away from the microwave when preparing a packet! I just spent 10 minutes wiping out the foamy brown explosion in mine! ARRGH.

On that note though, anyone have thoughts about prepping something like soup the night before and re-heating it at work? Yuck? Better off to "make it and bake it" at the same time?
