Yes, this has happened to me... my tooth fur comes & goes, no matter how much I brush... I've been trying to figure out what causes it... when I just can't stand it anymore, I've been using those Listerine Whitening Strips, the ones that dissolve on your teeth, they have hydrogen peroxide in them & that bubbles the fur away... I can't use them every day, all that peroxide I end up swallowing makes my throat sore, but a couple of times a week is about right...

hugs

I'm having trouble getting all 4 cups of veggies in during the day - generally because I'm just not hungry. What do you do about it? It seems counterintuitive to me to eat when I'm not hungry...

Default Road Trip

Good Evening,

I'm leaving on Saturday morning around 8 am for a 3-4 hour road trip.

What would be your plan for food? Tips, etc.?

Thank you!

I think the Wildberry Yogurt is different depending where you are. The box I have here that I purchased 2 weeks ago is only 5 carbs.

I find taking the digestive enzymes and some extra lettuce throughout the day help clear out the system so you don't feel so overfull. I also had this feeling go away a lot after about the 3rd week.

I am glad to hear that someone else has this going on. My teeth did not feel that way the first three weeks I was on IP, however, during this last week they felt "grungy". I will be very happy when the feeling goes away.

I am definitely part of the 'furry' teeth group. I figured it must be something to do with the protein packets. Glad to hear it goes away eventually.

Can anyone tell me what the "price I will pay" will be for having consumed these "taboo" items.

I was VERY disappointed in myself for not resisting these foods, but had a very weak moment. Trying to get over it today and have stuck to the IP program.

Any words of scolding or comfort are allowed --- lol!!!

Hey Lorrie! First of all on the 43.5 lb weight loss in 2 short months! That is fabulous and not to be forgotten.
I don't think you can beat yourself up over your weak moment - life happens. I agree with EatAnts - get back on the wagon, boot camp preferably. Who knows, your cheat may not cost you too much, at the worst 3 days and about $36.

Hi all- I hope I've been missed.. my lap top kept dying, had it worked on, but looks like I may still need a new one- something wrong with 'hardware'..I keep getting the 'blue screen of death'..
I am still drinking the whey protein as my 'shakes' ( 18 grams protein/100 calories) as my 'packets'.
For those who do not know me, I was getting migraines for the splenda in the IP packets. Only the egg scramble and soups have no artificial sugars..and of those 4 choices I only like the mushroom soup.....well I
Am trying to maintain my weight thru many stressfilled issues.. and I am proud of myself that I am making so many better food choices, although stress has me up a few pounds..( my recent dr visit told me yes that is true)

Here is just some of what my concerns are-
I had bloodwork done the end of May and again now-I started IP mid July....and my cholestrol levels are worse, the hdl's are higher and ldl's very very low. My dr is very concerned. She put me on prescription omega 3's, and I eat white fish almost daily!!( tuna/cod/haddock/flounder) My Vit D is extremely low- so presc for that as well and low calcium levels show I need more of that too.. The dr commented she didn't recognize me with the weight loss- (YEAH) She ordered more bloodwork again in 12 weeks.

Tommorrow is MONDAY, and I begin again...............................

Well, I didn't stray from the program and just experienced my "same weight" weekly WI on Friday....at 19 weeks on IP...think it was lack of movement (such as didn't get my swims in thiis week) so this week will definitely make sure I get some exercise...my son-in-law visited last night and had the nerve to pop popcorn...yikes...I grabbed the celery and WF peanut spread...what a test. I didn't even watch him eat it...actually it was just the initial smell of it popping that took me back...but the feeling went away as fast as it came.

Marilyn (who is not going to phase off over the holidays)

I'm googling trying to find an article I read in the paper a few months ago about a study of people on low-carb diets vs. low calorie. The study basically said that low-carb people often have spikes in their HDL while dieting but the levels significantly lower after the patience completes their diet (in most cases, lower than the patients on the low calorie diets).

Aren't your HDLs supposed to be high? And your LDLs low?

thanks Eats Ants! I remember someone posting info and comments on just that.. My good chol is so low she doesn't want me to have a heart attack (her words) in the meantime.. exercise 4 days a week will help raise it..

I have to ask.. how did you pick that screen name??? It's cute!
