Exclamation HELP! Need some advice

I had surgery yesterday (Monday) to have my gallbladder removed and I'm not quite sure what to do now as far as IP goes. Do I just hop back on to phase 1 right where I left off despite having a couple of days not being on protocol or do I modify things and ease back into it? Also my liver enzymes were way out of whack because I had stones in my bile duct and I'm concerned whether or not being on IP full force will aggravate that situation. I tried calling my coach and she needed to call her mentor/contact because she wasn't sure and I haven't heard anything back yet. I want to have a plan, but don't want to cause myself anymore trouble than I've already been through these past few days. On the other hand I don't want to sit here and start gaining back all of the weight I've worked so hard to lose. Any advice and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

This might help: http://www.surgery-guide.com/what-to...r-surgery.html

So, if you're supposed to be on a liquid diet, no harsh grains, acidic foods, etc. the packets should be ideal. I'd avoid fibrous vegetables or make a veggie cocktail in your blender. If your doctor wants you to eat some solids, any kind of LOW fat fish, like Dover sole which practically melts in your mouth, shouldn't irritate your system too much. Just wash the fish and poach it in its own juice. With a fish as thin as Dover sole, 2-3 minutes is enough, really.

I'm sure there are people better informed about this than I. But I'm awake; and want to keep your post at the top of the day. Best of luck and a really speedy recovery, OK?

Call your surgeon/doctor, give them the ingredients, and let them decide what course you should take at this point. I would wonder if some ingredients might be difficult for your system to handle.

Your IP Coach is not going to know what to do in your unique medical situation...your doctor will.

The doctor told me to add food back into my diet as tolerated. So I don't really have any restrictions, just adding things that are more gentle in first. I guess I'm just not sure if I should transition back into the diet slowly or go full force. I think I'll just take it day by day for now and see how I feel. So far today for breakfast I've had the IP cappuccino drink and a cheese stick. So not completely on plan, but not too far off either. Thanks for the responses so far and for anyone else that may have some insight to offer.
