For those doing alternate IP products I found a web page that has items with some that have the exact same ingredients as the IP products...the product line is called Proti-thin and I just ordered all my fav bars and some orange drink :) check it out

let me know what you all think :) I am all about saving moneys

Well I agree re saving $$ ! But.. as I looked at the ingredients with the Proti-thin, they are different from IP in that they contain fructose...IP products don't contain fructose.. Here is an article which summarizes how fructose impacts your metabolism..

What are you thinking? Eleven pounds in three weeks is awesome! Don't be so hard on yourself. I don't know how much you need to lose, but you need to break it up in to small goals. Persistence, IP and this forum will get you there! Keep up the good work and stay POSITIVE! :dust:

Of course you're right.. I think I left out I tried on dresses that day :P In 1 1/2 weeks I have to attend a wedding and I was in hopes of getting into a dress I have.. nothing doing.. YET! Oh well.. I have to be happy with what I've accomplished thus far and keep on keeping on! Thanks for the encouragement! :)

Back on track!

TOM has come with a vengeance! But last evening's weigh/measure wasn't too terrible - I'm down 1 lb and 5.75 inches. I DID get scolded a bit, but I think it's more the repetitive nature of him that gets me. Sometimes I want to just say - "I GOT IT!" But I really bite my tongue to keep from saying anything . . . :p

Next week's weigh/measure will be a lot better - I'm back on track and walked over a mile last evening while my daughter had cross-country practice. It's been moved to 7 in the evening so it's cooler and it's perfect timing for me to walk while she runs! :running:

Have a great day, everyone!

Barbara

One for every five pounds lost:

:carrot::carrot::carrot:

WI#1: -8.2 lbs, -19.75 in.
WI#2: -2.4 lbs, -10.0 in.
WI#3: -6.0 lbs, -3.25 in.
WI#4: -1.0 lbs, -5.75 in.

day 2

I can't believe how quick you all post. I get so busy reading I forget to share.

Started day 2 today. Yesterday went ok thanks to your recipes I found the one for the raspberry vinegrette. Until I got my packet couldn't figure out the raspberry jelly thing.

I told my coach when I met with her Monday about your website and what I had read. She said that was great! Support is important no matter what you are doing. I concur.

Is there a place where you have what your abbreviations mean? i.e. DH, WF

Is there a protocol where you use abbreviations?

DH = Darling Husband or dear husband

WF = Walden Farms

NSV = Non Scale Victory

TOM = Time of the Month

Ask if you need to know anymore :)

At first I wasn't sure how I felt about it. Maybe a little embarrassed, but then she kept going on about how incredible I look and said I should be honored that they chose to use my pictures. Any other feedback out there on how you would feel :)

so I posted some incriminating ones of me on the PROGRESS PHOTOS link too...hope mine don't end up in the news LOL... not ready yet but getting there ;-)

Posts do occur very quickly, I can't keep up either. Congratulations on joining IP and welcome on board! I haven't tried the jelly, so I'm sorry I can't help you with it, but I'm sure someone else will respond. I know Salesgod loves it. I think it's really great that your coach supports your appreciation of this board. Here is a link for the commonly used Acronyms, hope it helps. Rosie

Probably because they need to lose weight. ;)

I think you look perfect. It's hard to believe you were once a plate of eggs and sausage. It's amazing how healthy you look now in comparison. :D

They (whoever they are) don't know what they're talking about... unlike us. :hug:

acronyms

ty for the help on the acronyms. Makes sense once I see them.

DH who has been on disability since last year and therefore retired way to early is driving me nuts. Thinks I need to cook him 3 meals a day when I'm not in school. Haven't done that for 30 years why should I start now, lol.

thank heavens school starts again in another week. Short break but I'm ready to go back. Just barely got grades in for summer semester.

I try to remind myself that most people have not seen us at our ideal weight so they get concerned. They will get used to it.

Many years ago I was doing WW and there were a couple gals that got to the goal weight. It was exciting! But they didn't get clothes that fit them properly. That can make all the difference. If someone is still wearing a bigger size it can make them look like they are way to thin. And they were very proud of their loss and wanted to show it off. That is great and it was good to see that they were excited about their new bodies, but it didn't mean they had to show all of it off at once. Skimpy shorts and tops weren't the most flattering.

Not that anyone is doing that here. :) I can't say I'm the most fashionable dresser. But many people have already stated that they can't believe the small clothes they can fit into now. If we got the bod we need it dress it classy!

My biggest fear...my arms. I don't think they will return to the toned muscles of years past. Short sleeves and cap sleeves will always be my friend. I'm not ashamed of my arms I just know I look better without so much showing. I'll leave the spaghetti straps to the teenie boppers or a very, very, very hot day.

:rofl:

And I completely agree that they probably need to lose weight. It probably makes them feel better to say it.
