I'm running out of IP Bars and they are the only restricted food I eat for breakfast everyday, and I don't want to pay a fortune to get more and the EAS bars seem to have a little too much carbs and calories. Any suggestions?
I looked at the muscle milk lite and there was something that steered me away. I don't remember if it was the carbs, fat or low protein count. The EAS carb control shakes are a good alternative. If you are wanting some bars. Go to Lindora.com. I think their stuff is made by the same people who make IP. Their caramel delight is one I order and the individual packaging is identical to the vanilla peanut bars that IP sells. They are much cheaper and usually have some good sales. They have puddings, drinks and soups too. Check the ingredients for aspartame.

Jordanna,
your going to be starting your own website for dieters soon I think!
I like the way you put it by week so the day we weigh in doesn't really matter. My start weight was 180 on 4/2. Thanks!

I saw you mentioned the new products. My rep/coach mentioned the strawberry but she wasn't sure about it...I told her it sounded good and now that you confirmed that I will tell her to order it for sure!! I will also ask her about the orange drink, it sounds awesome!!!

PS...when I was on your blog page I jumped over to the pictures of your little boy - boy what a cutie!! It's not recent but congrats anyway!! Isn't it funny how things work out?

I looked at the Lindora Bars but the only concerned I had is that the protein compared to the carbs wasn't really what I was looking for. The Pure Protein bars that I ate prior to IP have a higher protein count and about the same carbs. The ingredients were all relatively similr. I will do more research about Lindora though. Thanks for the advice.

My weigh in is on Saturdays. I might have a glitch though...my IP rep is going back to work full time. This will mean I weigh in every 2nd Saturday starting the end of this month. Hope this isn't going to be a problem. If it is~no worries. I'm alwasy inspired by seeing how well everyone else does.

LOL - sometimes I feel like I'm already running a diet website, I maintain an IP support page on facebook. It started out for myself and my couple friends who were on IP but then my coach asked if she could start adding her clients to it as well!! I put up a tip every Monday, recipes, there's a weigh in section, a FAQ section...my coach gives me free food every couple of weeks for the work so I don't mind!

I'll mark down your start weight! Thanks

The new products are GREAT (In my opinion anyway)! I am so happy they were added as I only like 3 or 4 of the non-restricted foods & I don't eat the restricted ones!

Thanks for the congrats on my little guy - I'm planning his first birthday and can't believe he's turning 1!!

Good Morning and Happy Easter to those that celebrate it:

Jordanna , "mil gracias" (Spanish for "one thousand thanks") for keeping track of the "20 pounds by June 1st" challenge on your blog page . It will be so easy to click on your blog link and take a look at the chart.

I will report on Wednesdays for both myself and Evita who is my younger sister that doesn't post here. Evita has been my email and phone buddy for IP. However she is very busy person. She and her husband produce film documentaries for PBS and they are currently working on a big project that involves the Middle East. So she doesn't have time to post here.

Her IP wt. loss story might be inspirational to those reading so I will give a synopsis. She is 50 y.o. and was 5ft3 and 50 pounds overweight at 185 when she and I started IP last Sept. 2009. She was wearing tight size 12 jeans and long big shirts.

She lost 35 pounds by December, 2009 (she went on a business trip to Jerusalem for Christmas and was feeling great) and has been wearing size 6 jeans and fitted tops at a wt. of 150 pounds.

This year, life got in the way and she has been trying to maintain but has slowly gained 6 pounds back around the belly (like me.) So her starting wt. for the challenge is 161. So she has joined the 20 pound challenge and is very motivated to be done with it by June.

Evita and I both marvel at how our bodies have "shrunk" on this diet and that when we were at the same weight before, our clothes were a bigger size. I know that sizes have changed (a 12 is an old 14 or something like that.) but they didn't have skinny jeans back then that fit like the ones I have. My skinny jeans are so skinny that I can wear them under a slinky dress. and then I put on some combat boots and "look out world."

Well, I had to sneak in a fashion report. since I have a rep to maintain.

Anywho, my sis and are in on the challenge and we are be gonna pushing each other to do it. Evita and I have a phrase that we borrowed from the designer, Karl Lagerfield when he lost a bunch of wt. : "DO IT FOR FASHION."

Water intake has been a challenge for me these past 2 days while I was working in the ER, so today I am going to drink at least 100 ounces.

Also, sluggish in the "big potty" department so I'll take some Miralax.

Daughter is cooking some corned beef and cabbage for Easter Dinner. I know it's salty but "I'll worry about that tomorrow."

All for now, signed Scarlett O'Hara.

(starting wt. for challenge is 188.)

I don't post here much, but I would love to join the 20 pound challenge! I fell off the wagon a few times in the last 3 weeks and haven't lost any more weight. I haven't gained either which is great, but I still have more to lose! I love that everyone is joining together to work towards a common goal! June 1st is my birthday - so being 20 pounds lighter (and pretty much at my goal) would be a fantastic birthday gift and a great way to start the summer! My starting weight is 171.4 (not sure if we're rounding or not!).

I look forward to posting more and sharing success with you all!

Of course you can weigh in every two weeks - or if you want we could take your home scale #'s...

Default 20 by June Challenge Update

Hey everyone,

I posted start weights on my blog; let me know if I have anyone's information wrong! As you weigh in each week I'll post your loss below that weeks weight and your new weight on the next weeks column (hope that makes sense!)

I need weigh in days for SylviaG, SandraB & EmmasMommy!! I've got a sticky note on my laptop to remind me to check for weigh ins on certain days

Good luck everyone, I know we can kick butt in this challenge!

Jordanna - I don't "officially" weigh in anymore due to the cost of IP being too much. I'm doing it at home with EAS and Lindora products. I'll make my weigh in days Friday!

Welcome to the 20 pounds by June 1st Challenge, Emma's Mommy. That is so perfect that it will be your birthday that day. We will all be celebrating your birthday plus our 20 pounds lost all together. Wheeee, that will be a great reason to have a forum party. As for not losing, but yet not gaining part of this diet........yes, it is this diet that has kept you from gaining weight. As a nurse, I truly understand that the pancreas gets over loaded by our typical high-carb, high sugar diet. And IP Phase I gives it a break and allows it to re-set itself. So then the pancreas metabolizes carbs in a more normal way when we add them back in.

It bears repeating that my brother and sister-in law (my IP coach) have both maintained their wt. loss for more than a year. She tells me that it is amazing to her that she does not gain weight with all the carbs she has added back into her diet. She still avoids bread, pasta, rice and sugar but does eat fruits, cheese, beans and drinks red wine.

Jordanna, yes, my sissy IS a great person! Well, my whole family is pretty wonderful starting with my 96 y.o. Dad that still gardens and cooks and lives in his own home. He throws himself a big birthday party every year and has done so ever since he turned 75. A rare man is he!

Oh, gotta go. Daughter has arrived and it's time to start cooking Easter Dinner.

I was wondering the same thing.
I bought some at Target the other night along with some EAS shakes as they were on sale.

Hi Everyone---I do not post very often---I should though because I feel guilty---I don't post however I am always lurking and reading and I could not have come as far as I have on IP without the valuable support of this website. If it is not too late I would love to join the challenge with everyone to lose 20 pounds by June 1. My weigh in days have changed up---I weighed in Friday (230) and this week I start weighing in on Wednesdays.

Wow--it does sound like you are running your own diet website. I went out to your web page (and since I am not completely computer literate) when I wanted to add a comment I ended up starting my own page so that I could add a comment to yours and now I am trying to figure out what I want to do with this blank page----I got ideas but it will never be as indepth as your page and it will take forever to make it look complete. Your awesome with the diet and the computer. Have a wonderful week!!
