Default Explaining abrevations

New to forum. I see a lot of abbreviations of diets and such. Is there a spot on the forum or a sticky I can look at so I don't have to look them up on Google? I'm a diabetic type two doing low carb up to two carb servings a meal, usually one carb serving. Veggies for snacks.I'm allowed three carb servings a meal but I can't get my sugars down with that. Looking for advise and I don't want to go too low carb. No Atkins.

Hi Snapdragon. Welcome to 3FatChicks. You have come to the right place for information and support on a variety of diet plans. I am also type 2 diabetic and participate in our Diabetes Support thread if you are interested in joining us there. I have to keep carbs low, and there are some who can eat a little more. Depends on the individual and their degree of insulin resistance.

Unfortunately, I don't know of a list of diet abbreviations. Here are a few. IF means intermittent fasting, IE means Intuitive Eating, CAD/CALP means Carbohydrate Addict's Diet or Carbohydrate Addict's Lifestyle Plan, SB means South Beach, just to name a few. If you see any others, just ask. Anyone here will help you.

If you see a topic that interests you, jump right in!
