NewBride...welcome, and I love the idea of mini-goals!

I think in the back of my mind that this will help me in achieving my ultimate goal! So let me see:

Mini-goal 1: to be under 200lbs

Mini-goal 2: 185 (as my lowest weight in the last few years has been 187, so I would like to be below that)

Mini-goal 3: 175

Mini-goal 4: 160

GW: 150

Congratulations, Slimmingwishes! 11 lbs is awesome!
I am thinking of joining today.. but not sure if I should try to start the diet regimen or get the beads too.. I am a little apprehensive about the beads as I have thyroid and diabetic conditions! But it is really encouraging to see the wonderful progress everyone here is making.

Does anyone know if I can correct the spelling of my username? If so, how do I do it? LOL

Default Mini Goals

Slimmingwishes - congrats! down 11 lbs in a week that's awesome!

newbride- I also love the mini goal idea. I've broken mine down into ten lb. mini goals, each 10 lbs I lose I plan to treat myself to something that isn't food related, like a new workout tanktop, lipstick, pair of shoes, etc. I've always been the type to celebrate my achievements with sweets or a big dinner out, so I'm trying to do something different and healthy.

I just said "no thanks" to some cupcakes at work, feeling very good about it, and hiding in my office now chugging water and doing my breathing ...

keep it up everyone!

dDotT- Rewarding yourself with something non food related is a great idea!! I think I might do that as well. I would love to be at your weight right now!! With this dioet plan do you think I could get down to the 150s by April?

Right now, I am enjoying a grande misto from Starbucks- half coffee and half whole milk with sugar free vanilla syrup. Yumm!!

Slimminwishes-Good Job on 11 pounds gone forever!!

Newbride - I would ask your counselor, or wait to see how much you lose with your first set of beads and use that number to estimate how fast you're losing.

I think it really depends on how strict you are (not cheating at all ever, which is tough) and your metabolism. AW guarantees you can lose 15lb per month with absolutely no cheating, so your April mini goal could be possible, but don't put too much pressure on yourself

I've been doing some thinking about this diet and have learned alot about myself while on it. I have never stuck to a diet for this long before. Usually, I would go a week, then I just wouldnt be able to handle it mentally, then I would cheat. Being on this diet helped me to realize that I had a sugar addiction and I was just eating way too much with no limits or discipline. I mean, compared to this diet, South Beach looks really doable to me now. I am considering sticking on this until I make it down to 175 (since I already purchased my 3 sets of beads), then switching. I think I am in a different mind frame now to be able to handle it, so I will see. But in the meanwhile, I am sticking to this diet and very proud of my progress thus far. Happy dieting everyone!!!!

So I think my body is playing with me... I was 163.4 on Saturday, 162.8 on Sunday which I cheated but not to badly but enough to feel guilty and to have my stomach hurt, back up to 163.4 on Monday and today I weighed in at 161.4!!!! I was sure I was going to be stuck for a few days since I cheated!! I'm using this as a fluke and one time thing, don't want to get into the habit of cheating and thinking ill still lose. How is everyone else effected on the scale after cheating?

I was 144 on Thursday. I was so happy my next two days were milk. I cheated on my first milk day and had a meal on the 2nd one.i was 146. I did two milk days after that. I am 145 today.
I lost 5 days
This diet is not worth cheating.
If you have the urge then having a protein based meal once in two seams or once in a month is not bad.
I feel this way even though I loose few days, but I am more motivated and controlled on my "diet" days.
I have 16 lbs to go. Even another 5 lbs will be awesome!!
Stay strong everyone!!
This is soooooo worth it.
I have lost 24 lbs in the past 8 wks.
Had cheated throughout in 3 wks of Jan.
I am happy and so looking forward to end of Feb.
Hoo hoo

dDotT- Thanks for the advice. I will definitely ask when I go for my first weigh in.

Has anyone tried exercising on the program? I asked my doctor who administers the beads and he says that it is fine to do so, but I haven't had much energy. I really would like to, so that I can lose weight and inches faster.

Good Luck!!

Curley - They say the pressure points at which the beads are placed are dime-sized, so they don't have to be completely even to still work. If they are helping to supress your hunger, then you did it right. Good luck!

So, today was my first weigh-in since my little "break," and I'm down 10.1 lbs!

Can't wait to lose as much weight as possible by springtime.

Lost 4 lbs as per today's weigh in.
Excited!!
My doctor said 138 would be a food goal for me before I start transistion. My prior goal was 130. I was thinking one more bead session. But I think I should loose 8 lbs by 18th. (Actually not sure, I am planning to have a meal on valentines day....
Lets see..
Fingers crossed!!
That would be 30 lbs in 2 months.
Where and how else could his have been possible!
This is a great program for people who want to loose less or who want to loose more lbs...
Excited about starting 2 milk days.

Also I came to know that I you drink 8oz of water every hour, you would loose better / more weight.

I can't do every hour, but 2-3 glass water every 2 hours is still doable. Wow!! That means whenever you are rubbing the beads, you can remind yourself of drinking the water!!

I have one question for you guys.
Lemon / lime in water, is it allowed? 24/7 in milk and veggie days?

I think the lemon/ lime concentrate (true lemon) is allowed any time. I've lately been putting a tea bag in my cold water and two Splenda...any berry flavor but maybe you could try a lemon tea bag.
