I have lost 33.4 pounds since getting my BB on Aug. 11. That is even with being not really on plan during the holidays and being sick twice (piggy flu and then bronchitis and a sinus infection) and not able to eat properly or workout much while sick.

carly, are you opposed to the bodybugg? Do you have a Costco membership? costco has the bodybugg for $179 with 12 month subscription.

Amazon has the GWF for 179 but it looks like it comes without the membership.

I second the Costco deal. One caveat being that the deal expires on 1/31/10 so you'd have to order by Sunday. |

Anyway, I will continue to track my calories burned for a week with my normal schedule and see what the daily average is. |

FitGirlyGirl - I think you are absolutely right. I have been staying around 1400 cals per day on average for the last three months with like a toal of 2 pounds lost. Essentially I am on a 12-week plateau. I have been upping my activity level but keeping calories constant, but the scale keeps fighting me. Yesterday, was actually an 'easy' day for me workout wise and I still burned 3,000+ yet I ate 1,500 and the scale this morning crept upward. Today is my interval running day which will give me a total of 5 miles ran (I ran around 20-25 miles a week). So now I am starting to wonder if I have truly pushed my body in starvation mode. Yet, you always here of eating 1200-1400 calories to lose weight. I just can't imagine eating more and losing weight, but at this point something has got to give. I will re-assess after I complete my first week with GWF. Thanks for sharing your experience though!

*********CHALLENGE ALERT**********
O-M-G! I am so annoyed! I posted a long post before about a GWF/BB challenge, and obviously it never got posted to the board ARGH! I am proposing we do a GWF/BB challenge. We can either do a 90-day challenge or summer challenge (so the end date would be May 31st for instance). At the start of the challenge we will all post our weight loss goal, and then on a weekly basis we will post our (1) weekly cals burned; (2) weekly cals consumed; (3) cumulative % of goal accomplishment. So for number 3, if you lost 2 pounds after the first check-in date, and your goal weight loss was 10 pounds then your cumulative % of goal accomplishment would be 20% (simply put: current weight loss/goal weight loss). This way it doesn't matter if your goal is 10 or 20 pounds, it'll all be about how close we get to our individual goals. If you all want we could also take our weekly deficit, divide it by 3500 and compare our weekly target weight loss per GWF/BB versus our weekly actual weight loss for the week. So it'd look something like this: Deana Weekly Calories Burned: 19,600 Weekly Calories Consumed: 10,500 Target Weekly Weight Loss: 2.6 pounds Actual Weekly Weight Loss: 2.2 pounds % of Goal: 22% (assuming my goal was to lose 10 pounds) Now obviously I made all those numbers up, but that's what I have in mind. I also think we should weigh-in Tuesday or Wednesday to give our bodies time to adjust from the weekend changes. So, is any one interested? I think it'd be fun! Hopefully we can get our goals logged by Monday and then do our first check-in Tuesday (Feb 9th). |

BB does work while you sleep, but it does not do the sleep analysis like the GWF.
Also I will guess that either the BB or the GWF will have a sale again in the near future. |

I was told that you can buy the bugg from Costco for $9 more if you are not a member. So it's still a deal if that's the case. They do not sell these in Costco stores, online only. |
