Default TGIF!!!

And I mean that sincerely! This week has been entirely too stressful. I NEED a weekend. Sitting around doing NOTHING sounds good to me. Alas, (did she really just say "alas"??) it probably won't happen. Still anything would be better than being at work, eh? And since Huntress has just volunteered to come and scrub my house from top to bottom....

Huh, she didn't volunteer to do MY house?!?! Oops. Sorry. Misunderstood. Well, it's not that my house needs cleaning or anything.... Yeah. Right.

Huntress, I know what you mean about the paint. We just did the kitchen and I wanted a nice "off-white". Well, you just don't go into a paint store and get off-white paint. Do you know how many shades of white there are!?!?! I ended up with "Goose Feather". We put it on the walls. It's ... uh ... off-white.

Karen, welcome to the club. You'll like it here!

Kayla, I think Huntress is right. On the 3rd or 4th week, you get a little exercise point counter card and it helps calculate how many points you earn from the exercise. It's been a while so I don't remember exactly. I think the general rule is 20 minutes of exercise equals 1 point. Something like that.

Speaking of exercise, I kicked serious butt at the gym last night. I don't know what came over me but I hope it happens again and again!!! Worked up quite a sweat. I was going to stop at the mall on the way home but had to go home and, uh, freshen up first. Couldn't subject the general public to me after that!

And speaking of working up a sweat, have a good time Miss Tiffany. Anyone have any idea how many calories are burned during make-up sex?? Hm, now there's an exercise video I bet you've never seen advertised on TV!

One last note. Had a bottle of Snapple (Diet Peach Tea, my favorite!) yesterday. They all have little trivia facts under the lid. This one says: "When the moon is directly overhead, you weigh slightly less."

Now that's an interesting concept.....

And with that, I'll be going. Hope you all have a great day and a wonderful weekend!

Hey Tiff, where's the pic?? My boys got their first pup this past Christmas. Her name is Belle and she's a Jack Russell. I never thought I was a little dog person, but didn't want a big dog in the house....so, got Belle. I am in puppy love with her, can't imagine not having her. And, can't imagine having to board her. I feel for you. Maybe since you aren't the one dropping him off, he wont be mad at you. I also live with a cat and an iguana...last year we had a rooster! I was embarrassed about the rooster, but he was cute. Cant say for sure what happened to him...boys think their dad gave him away.
Off to pick blueberry's!

Hello, everyone and welcome, Karen.

I don't have time for shout-outs today but I do just love catching up with all of you! What an awesome bunch of women you are - each of you has brightened my day.

I've been having a major PMS week, on top of being my first week back to work and a week I had decided to escalate my weight loss plan to a new level....

It hasn't gone the way I planned and I'm frustrated with myself because, darn it, I can do things when I set my mind to it and I don't like having limiting factors working against me by messing with my emotions. I'm NOT going to get worked up about this but will start over fresh after the floodgates finally open.

I'm not sure I'm a good judge right now - I guess I was focusing on the negative this morning (surprise surprise) but now that I look at the week more objectively I think now it has been neither horrible nor good - just somewhere in between. I mean, I was thinking it was a -7 but it's probably only been a -2 or maybe even a 0 - as far as my WL goals are concerned.

I was supposed to go to the gym today but the alarm was not set properly and I can't say I was even sad about it.

So in spite of my bad attitude, you guys have perked me up and I'm going to try to stop my raging self and not go and really blow it further just because I'm discouraged by my - - - - hormonal limitations. So that's the best I can bring to today and tomorrow will be another day. I feel better already, dammit!

aaawww, what a cute doggie. i've got to figure out how to post photo's. i'm a camera freak.
blueberry picking went as well as could be expected with a 5 year old and a 10 year old...both boys. ya can't really be injured by a thrown blueberry. the 5yr old says the ones he picked are all his, nobody else can eat any....all five pounds worth. i'm thinking tummy ache. the berries are good sized. i was afraid they would be small with the lack of rain here.
can ya all guess what i'm having for breakfast tomorrow?!
going to feed the rugrats lunch, then off to the grocery. i think i'll take the asprin BEFORE we leave. shopping with kids is such a joy.
have a good weekend!

Why Tiffany, how thoughtful! Tigerlily asks for some color in our off-white thread and you come through with that little cutie!

And then, Tigerlily, you come back with, well, blue kids, apparently.

That's why I like this group.

Cafe, I love the way you ended your post. "I feel better already, dammit". Yeah, you tell 'em. You'll feel better and you'll like it, missy!

Girls, it's Friday afternoon. And it's a beautiful day outside my ... filthy dirty window. (What do these cleaning people get paid for anyway??) Still, the sun is shining, the trees are swaying in the breeze and the weekend promises to be more of the same. Can't hardly wait!

Now I could sit here and dwell on the fact that the gal back in shipping just told me that my boss told her he'd have something that would have to go out Fed-X tonight and yet I haven't seen hide nor hair of it. Be just like him to give me some 20 page report to compile and type up at 4:45. Um, boss? Can you say "overtime"?

No, I'm not going to think about that. I'm going to think about the 11,000 or so seconds to go until 5:00. Nor am I going to think about the fact that weekends for me usually mean uncontrolled eating and not getting enough water. Hm, do I hear the gym calling my name??

Again, I'm going to sign off and wish you all a great weekend!

hi guys, sorry i havent posted, i did something really stupid for the last 2 days and this morning, i thought i could make somersizing work for me AGAIN!!!!! i was feeling pretty confident too, then by lunch time with my mom, i went off the program, i am so tired of failing. i need to eat healthy, from ALL food groups, and whether i like it or not i am gonna have to keep track of how much i am eating.

i love everyone on here and the chuckles i get when i read your posts. and the support is GREAT. but i think i will go back to the richard simmons board so i can take back control and keep track of what i am eating and how much. i know this will get boring for me, but i have to stop whining about it, this is gonna take some work and i just have to do it. i cant keep looking for the easy way out. hang in there and stay as sweet as you are, be there for each other. and i wish everyone continued success, i will pop in now and then and tell ya how i am doing, who knows, i may be back sooner then you know. thanks for all the support.

Hi all!
Grocery Shopping is Darn HARD! Kids aside, it's hard making the right choices. Kids added to it. ARGH! Do ya remember the calgon take me away comercials?! I need that.
I'm going to make stuffed peppers tonight and try using brown rice for the first time. I just stare at all the dried beans/rice stuff at the store, clueless. With all the diet books, plans, cookbooks...none of them tell ya how to CONVERT. Let alone how to convert the DH and kids. I need a "gradual plan". Make'n it up as I go, running blind.
Jello, I meant paint....wall paint. My family always makes fun of my mom cause their whole house is beige. Scared of color. I love color. People get dizzy in my house. Probably all those years of living in the beige.
Tomorrow is my nieces bday. Cake and icecream is a given. I'm gonna take blueberries and watermelon to offset the evils.
Have a great weekend, I may not be back until Monday...weigh in day for me.

Will, I will miss you, but only you knows what will work for you! I wish you all the best, and I will look forward to hearing about your continued success!!!!

Tig, today is my daughter's birthday, and she wanted peach cobbler, (we are all caked out) and so I made a peach cobbler and then I picked up a low-fat pound cake and some strawberries and fat free coolwhip. So, everyone was eating and I don't think anyone cared who was eating what!

By the way, the brown rice is DELICIOUS! I love it and use it now instead of white. Well, the whole wheat rice anyway. I think Minute Rice makes it...

Well, we are heading out to dinner and I am fine as long as my daughter doesn't pick out Chinese Buffet.

So, maybe a steak house, and I can get some chicken and a salad or something. Yum. I am ready to eat out!!!!

Talk with ya later, I'm watching What Lies Beneath, and everytime I see it, I jump and scream like the first time. What an awesome movie.

I bought long grain brown rice. Takes a long time to cook.
So, looks like stuffed peppers get moved to Sunday. Tonight is a Nacho, nacho night. I call my DH Nacho man because he likes them so much. I bought the baked tortilla chips for myself and if I go light on the cheese and sourcream, shouldn't be so bad. I use the natural sourcream. I can "read" the ingredient list on the natural type. Wish I REALLY KNEW what was better...fat free or natural?!
DH not home from work yet. I feel like a littel kid wait'n for him to get home. I'm like "talk to me, your my adult" and he's like "could you please give me some peace and quiet, it's loud at work all day". Good thing I get to rattle at you guys!

We went to the Chinese Buffet.

To quote Forrest Gump: "And that's all I have to say about that."

AND further more, to quote Scarlett O'Hara: "Tomorrow is another day."

Going to put my big butt to bed now.
