I've entered the 21 century and just this week purchased a MP3 player. I want to use it for walking because the cd player skips too much. I love music but am not very good about knowing the names of songs or artists.
Benny Benassi - Satisfaction That's my favorite. It inspires me to keep going when I'm tired and want to stop. It's techno, so if you're not a fan, then nix that suggestion.
This is a link to my workout playlist on yahoo music. I have the feeling you might have to have a subscription to YM to access it so...to sum up, it's got some Black Eyed Peas, Mary J Blige, Missy Elliot, 50 Cent, & Outkast along with Time Warp from Rocky Horror, Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody, These are Days (10,000 Maniacs), The Impression that I Get (Mighty Mighty Bosstones) plus lots more. Yes, yes I do have very eclectic taste in musichttp://yme.music.yahoo.com/ymeNav/ym...D-9620BE67545A
Lilybelle, that song is called
"What a Man", by Salt n' Pepper - sorry, but its an OLDIE but a goodie.
Try the Nelly Furtado album - got some great tunes (Maneater, for example)!.
For something different and techno, get the soundtrack to an obscure german film called 'Run Lola Run'. You can't go wrong with this one, as the film revolves around RUNNING and the music is made to match!

Ooh, good call, freiamaya. That was a good movie, too.
Gogol Bordello. Anything by him is awesome. He's energetic, and there's no way you could be anything but active listening to his stuff.
And I'm a big fan of the Black Eyed Peas, anything like that. I'm not normally a big fan of hip hop, but I love working out to it...also any dance music. Madonna, techno, that sort of thing.
