Maybe you guys could forgo a meal or 2 out, get a cleaning person/co to come in and clean and then it might not be such an issue if you could get a fresh start every week. I have to say this saved my marriage back in the days when my kids were little.

Tearjerker, Ugh I hear you, no matter what you do it sems like its never enough with the house. I did find that having a housecleaner come every 2 weeks did help me.I knew that at least heavy cleaning got done every 2 weeks. Its easier to manage in between. I donthave them anymore because money got tight but I am planning on getting them back if not this summer then in the fall.
I don't think men realize how much we really do to upkeep thehouse. I oftem ask my dh if he thinks the fairy comes and does things. I am trying to teach my sons to clean up after themsleves.
I took my older son to practice last night and when I camein my family room had every toy out all over the floor, my mil was over. I told 5 yr old to clean up and of course he whines, SO i start to pick up 3yr olds new toys and I just got up and walked out, I said you know what I am not doing this, my mother didnt clean up my toys when i was youngr and I didnt have half the things yo have, DO IT, you have no repsect for anything you have or appreciate anything. I was really flipping out becuase everday this wek we have had this battle. Well guess flippin what, my 64 yr old mil was on her hands and knees cleaning up for him! and to boot when my dh walked in my son now sitting on a couch in a cleaned up room, says "look daddy, its all cleaned up!!!"

My dh hates to see the toys all over like that too and to hear them whine they cant clean up.

So you see, my mil did everything for my dh and his brothers. It wasnt until he met me that he started to clear off his own plate from the table. I refuse to have my sons grow up like that.

ugh men lol
