And I'm sorry... but when you suggest to women who are considering plastic surgery that their "money would be better spent on "counseling"..." that really does come across as not only self-righteous, but rather demeaning as well... not to mention the overall judgmental tone of your post in general... It really does sound a bit "holier than thou"
OP said that she's considering plastic surgery because she's "moping around/not wanting to go anywhere" which suggests to me that she has some serious body-loathing issues that would benefit from counseling. Not wanting to leave your house because you don't have a flat stomach is not a healthy mindset.

Awesome...glad to hear that. Hopefully it will make it so you feel you don't need it, but if not I support you.

For me, it's more a fear of surgery than anything. When I was 12, my mother almost died from a non-cosmetic surgery (anesthesia cardiac arrest). I admit, I would really love a nice pair of boobs. I'm a 32Bish (more like an A), and they are HUGE right now (I'm nursing a baby 24/7, he's only 3 months). I would looooooooooooove for them to stay this size forever (and preferably their grapefruit shape), but I know they won't. But part of me is just so terrified of complications that I don't think I can do it.

I think I would consider anything done under local/alert anesthesia...? But probably not anytime in the next 10-20+ years, I'm only 28.

If I could afford it, I would totally get liposuction, a breast lift AND a nose job.

I'd just like to clarify again that when I said "don't want to go anywhere", I misspoke. I did not mean I'm literally not leaving my house- I go to the store, grocery shopping, to school, to work, etc. Do I want to go to the beach and wear a bikini? No, not really.

You clearly have some strong emotions regarding this topic, so I'm not going to argue. I do appreciate all the input and personal experiences everyone has given me!

I would consider a TT. After having twins that weighed over 6# each, my poor tummy is a wreck. All wrinkle and droopy and riddled with stretch marks.

I'm also large busted and the poor girls also have the droopsies. So I would consider a reduction and lift.

Most likely, I'll never have the money, and it really doesn't bother me all that much. If I had to choose, I'd get the girls done. They're big, heavy, in the way, I get rashes in the summer, and buying bras is a nightmare!

I agree with many of the other posters, that A) you sound fine and gorgeous and B) If you want to lose, you should really try dieting etc as hard as you can first - BUT with all that said, if you do decide to go forward, that's of course your prerogative. Just a thought, I've seen some great deals on Groupon or LivingSocial for lipo sessions - of course you'd have to do a ton of research on the doctor etc, but it might be a good place to start if money is an issue.

Now that I'm firmly sitting in the 130's and within 15 pounds of my goal, I would seriously consider it. Looking at my stomach, all screwed up from gaining so much, is disappointing. If it doesn't tighten up and the marks don't improve, I'd do it if I had the money.

The only surgery I would ever consider would be maybe getting my lips a little plumper. One of my friends had it done and I love the way her lips look and sometimes I feel like mine are small. That's it though. That or a breast reduction.

I would like to get surgery to make my forehead smaller. That's about it. lol. I used to want liposuction and things like that. I'm too scared to do it though. I'd rather just lose it through exercise and diet.
