There is an 85 year old man at church that I have known for over 30 years. He sits in a pew in front of me. Other than a couple of others and my family, we are pretty much the only DODGER fans in a Padre country church.

Since he sits in front of me I usually wait for him to get to my row then we walk out of the sanctuary together sharing baseball stories during the season.

He is hard of hearing now so he speaks a little extra loud. He lives in a nursing home and his sports channels are limited. This morning the first thing he says to me is...

rather loud...

"I can't stand ESPN...all they show is those stupid east coast teams. I hate those damn Yankees and Red Sox!"
