I take medication which causes this problem for me. I also take Magnesium and sometimes a stool softener...I stay away from laxatives. I usually go approx every 4 days. Ridiculous, and makes me feel SO bloated.

Coffee in the morning usually does the trick better than anything else.

Oh, you know one thing just occurred to me-

Solid calcium supplements (even if they contain magnesium) can cause the WORST constipation. It's because of the binders they use in the pills. If you're taking a solid calcium supplement- even Tums- drop it and go to a liquid. No binders, so it won't bind you up!
