thanks everybody! I think I will call a Dr. This is abnormal for me...i wouldn't be too worried if it wasn't just in the last couple of weeks that I started doing this...normally, I go every day or every other day. I went about 5 days and the only way I went was because I used an enema....and I haven't gone since then either.

I have eaten prunes, had prune juice, eaten fiber bars and cereals, had fresh veggies and fruits, taken stool softeners, miralax, and milk of magnesia and NOTHING does anything except give me gas.

Did you try a laxitive to loosen things? What are you eating? Maybe more fiber? Yeah I'd do like your husband said and go see a doctor if you don't go by wed.

please don't put any more medicines in your body until you call a doctor. you can even call your local emergency room for advice right now if it would set your mind at ease.

I know this might sound weird to some of you guys.. But I get severely constipated when I stop my daily dose of sublingual B12. I used to be severely deficient in B12 (absorption issues) and had BM only once in 3 days or so. But my BM became regular like clock work once I started taking sublingual B12.

When that happens to me, I drink organic, herbal laxative tea and the next day I'm fine.

I agree - you've done enough with meds, and overdoing it can actually make things very unpleasant. Get to a doctor, and don't fret, they see this problem all the time. I get constipation when I use certain painkillers so I'm used to dealing with this.

I've always had issues with BMs. Since I was 16, I would have maybe 1 a week and thought it was normal. I was always uncomfortable and gassy. Sometimes I would go two weeks and feel really panicked. I tried everything, getting a ton of fiber, laxatives, miralax, etc.

7 months ago I had a gall bladder attack that was so serious I had to have it immediately removed. After that I was still having problems digesting food months later. My doctor recommended that I take over the counter enzymes to help my digestion. I take a combo pill that breaks down fiber, carbs, fats, and milk sugars. The difference for me was outstanding. I have an easy BM every day or every other day at the most. I don't know why I lived like that for so long.

Please talk to your doctor about it and see what your body needs. When you find what it is, your body will feel so much better and your weight loss/management will be so much easier.

Emerald Eyes, I am also answering to bump this thread so you see it and let us know how you're doing. I hope he doesn't just tell you what we have!

Lots of people experience this and could benefit from what you learn

(And I'll add: high fat foods and yogurt to the list.)

My go-to for constipation is magnesium- I take a liquid cal/mag supplement and if I need to go I take a second dose.

I have a friend that swears by warm apple juice and he says that warm liquids help loosen up the bowels better than cold liquids.

I've just started taking psyllium seed husk capsules and that seems to help me.
