  • At what height is a woman considered tall?
  • I consider 5'8" and above... but it also depends on the individual I think... an individual that is 5'7" can seem taller than someone who is 5'8"...

But... really? no clue... If someone who is 5'0" says they're tall... why not?
  • 5'7" and above
    (according to the "fashion" industry)
  • I always think 5'8" and taller. I'm 5'9", and out here in California, I always get the "you're so tall!" comments.
  • 5'6"?? You're tall! All of my friends are 5'4" and under...they must just make 'em small up here in the frozen north!
  • To me tall is 5'7 and up. 5'4-5'6 would be average, and 5'3 and lower is short. That's just my opinion of course! I'm a shortie
  • Models are 5'8"+ however, they are also 100 lbs so I don't know if that standard really applies.
I think 5'7" is on the taller side but it also depends upon how thin you are. In college there was this girl who was about an inch and a half shorter than me and people would always talk about how tall she was...I think it was her long slender legs. Dang her!
  • I am 5'8" and am considered tall by others......
  • Anyone over five feet.
  • I think 5'8" and up. I'm 5'10" and even 6'+ men will say, "You're tall!!".

...I love being the lady in the grocery store the lil ole ladies go to to reach the top shelf.
  • Thanks, Fitness. I'll get you anythign you want from those low shelves.

Me too I am friend to the elderly or pregnant
  • I'm 5'3". Anyone over 5'7" seems tall to me. Where are all you tall people when I'm at the store? I've had to leave the store without things because sometimes it's just too much trouble.

I once asked an older lady to reach a box of cereal for me. She was so sweet, lol, she said "here, honey, take two." As if that would make up for me being too short to get them myself.
  • In Asia I consider anyone as tall as me to be "tall." I'm usually one of the tallest females around!

Sadly I'll go back to being average in the U.S. I consider the "tall" threshold taller than 5'6 but it depends on build, wider people don't look as tall.
