I know I'm going to overeat already.
My mom called this morning and asked: do you want nuts in the cherry salad?
I said 'how about no cherry salad?'. She told me that I would just have to learn to say no. The thing is that I'm the only one that eats it, so she's making it for me, so why can't she just not make it---argghhh.
(this is not a healthy salad--it's cherry pie filling, eagle brand milk, and cool whip --with or without pecans)
I know I'll be eating too much, also! But I'm glad to have some family time and a long weekend. Ours won't be as traditional a holiday as others might have, but its still family time.
I'll be checking in to 3fc to keep my head in the right place. I hope others will be too!

Angie and I will take the dogs to the beach for a short walk then breakfast at the beach cafe. After that we will head home to start cooking.
Son/dil/GRANDdaughter ~ daughter/kidnapper/future grandchild ~ step-d/boyfriend ~ nephew/NAVY buddy will be joining us today....
