OK. I hate watching Rangers games on ESPN.

They stated "Pedro" Borbon would get more playtime since Hamilton is out injured. First off, it's Julio Borbon and 2. He's our starting outfielder.

Then, David Murphey is getting more play time due to Hamilton being out. They interviewed him but only asked him two questions. One was about Josh Hamilton and the other was about the starting pitcher Ogando.

Grr. I miss Fox Sports SouthWest.

Clydegirl 04-17-2011 10:04 PM

Woohoo Gary is talking to me again.

Until the Dodgers come to Busch Stadium.

We do need a new closer, enough already.

MuffinTop I hate watching games on ESPN Sunday nights.

manders01 04-18-2011 12:37 PM

G-Men in town to face the Rockies for the next three days. Definitely going to go to a game (today or Wednesday) but trying to plan around the weather. While it will be warmer today than Wednesday, it's also supposed to rain tonight. So going to play it by ear. Thankfully I know I can walk right up either day right before the game and get tickets.

Haven't been to a game since OD so I'm having baseball withdrawals! :D

Stepping Out 04-18-2011 02:49 PM

Happy Patriots' Day!

Red Sox won 9-1! :cheer2: :cheer3: Dice-K pitched 7 innings with only 1 hit given up! :)Three in a row...let's keep the streak going! :D

I live 325 miles from the nearest MLB team (Rangers). Going to a game is pretty much out of the question for me! It just makes me cheer louder so they can hear me from home. ;)

This is the closest I've ever lived to a ballpark (less than 3/4 of a mile, I walk) and I know I am SOOOOOOO spoiled.

My mom used to ask me when I cheered during football games on TV if I did so because I thought the players could hear me. Uhhhh, yeah! :D

---

Looks like the rain will hold off until after the game is over. I think I'm going to take my chances with going tonight. :cb:

Yep, the steak continues!!!!

Once upon a time, early in the season, The Nation was at the bottom. But now, there are THREE teams in Major League Baseball with a worse record than the Red Sox - Seattle, NY Mets, Houston.

Ugh! I must be bad luck! I'm 0-2 at Rockies games thus far this season. Got invited to the game tomorrow. Gonna turn this thing around.

That one team that I love needs to be turnin' things around too!

Not a good baseball day at all.

Clydegirl 04-19-2011 03:15 PM

Well we are supposed to be going to the game tonight :)

We are under a severe weather threat. Tornado watch until 9 pm.

I don't want to get stuck at Busch Stadium when those storms come through.

We are playing the Nationals and I was looking forward to seeing Rick Ankiel again.

Clydegirl 04-19-2011 07:45 PM

Weather about to hit the stadium. We are staying home. There will be a rain delay and it will be a late night.

So will watch on TV. :(

Yes ! Here we go... make it 4 in a row
Sox are on the west coast, need to stay up.. sipping my second DCDP :hyper: (diet cherry dr. pepper)
Sorry Clyde... perhaps the make-up game will be a nice warm night

XLMuffnTop 04-19-2011 10:45 PM

Oh jeez. My Rangers are seriously slipping tonight. :(

*hides face in shame*

Clydegirl 04-19-2011 11:01 PM

Well the game was postponed at 9.15 pm.

They have to get all those people in the stadium and then they buy those $8 beers and $5 hot-dogs during the rain delay. Not to mention the merchandise.

The make-up will be tomorrow afternoon. they will play a double header.

Now I have to figure out if i can go to the make-up game.

Caroline I hate the late west coast games.

It's so late by the time they're over.

manders01 04-20-2011 12:23 AM

Ugh! What happened to all of my boys??? Neither team is looking like the the teams they are projected to be. I do not like this!

Clydegirl 04-20-2011 10:38 AM

I'm going to the make-up game on my own. Hubs has to work and DD is in school.

Double-header today.

So should I switch seats?

There's bound to be a lot of empty seats, people that can't make it.

I would probably have the usher from **** that makes me move back to my original seat :)

See if you can trade in the two tickets to get a better seat. Then you won't have to worry about that anal usher. ;)

BillBlueEyes 04-20-2011 06:24 PM

Gary - What's up with the Dodgers front office?

Your man, McCourt, (or Mrs. McCourt - whichever is wearing the pants) is being "investigatged" by MLB.

This seems a little more than Manny being Manny.

Clydegirl 04-20-2011 07:21 PM

Well that was fun.

Only 8,500 in attendance.

They let people sit anywhere they wanted on the lower level as there was so few people there due to it being a make-up game.

I got a seat just behind homeplate on the third base line behind the green seats. Best seat I've ever had.

I also got 3 free vouchers for another game because of the rain-out last night.

Only bad thing we lost. Our starter was awful. Bullpen held up pretty good.

Now for the win tonight.

Clydegirl 04-20-2011 07:24 PM

They were talking about the state of the Dodgers on the way home.

MLB is taking over the running of the ballclub.

Gary will they be up for sale?

This sounds like a soap opera... Could be worse, could be a government take-over :?:

Sweetcaroline 04-20-2011 08:31 PM

Too bad they lost Clydegirl... what are the vouchers for ? tickets ?? :rain:

Some really bad calls last night Sox vs Athletics...we lost
took the game today though... powering to the top now !

Yes 3 vouchers for tickets. They will be in the cheaper seats but I don't mind.

manders01 04-21-2011 12:38 AM

Nice to see the Rockies win in dominant fashion today. Though it makes me wonder if I am bad luck or just went to the wrong games? If only I had stuck to the original plan, I would have missed those two crappy, cold games and been at this good, cold game! :D

White Sox...WTF?!?!?

Clydegirl 04-21-2011 11:13 AM

Going to the game with DD. She started spring break today.

Got some cheap tickets and free hot-dogs :)

Shannon in ATL 04-21-2011 12:01 PM

My Braves aren't having the best season so far... sadness...

Clydegirl 04-21-2011 08:09 PM

Good game today. Won 5-0.

Sitting in the 300 section in the shade was cold today. The woman beside me shared her blanket with DD and I.

Kyle Lohse pitched a complete game shut-out. He looked good today.

If the losing is because of you, please stay away!!! ha! It's so much more fun to have the big time winning streak!

Sweetcaroline 04-21-2011 10:58 PM

Little concerned about Youkilis, he fouled a pitch off his foot and was immed taken out of the game...

Sounds like a good day at the park Clydegirl...
Is all the snow melted yet Diane ?

manders01 04-21-2011 11:45 PM

YAY SOX!!! :cheer2: That is the baseball team I know and love!!! Now they just need to keep it up. You're goin' down Tiggers!

LOL I understand! I'm thinking by the time they get back to CO the bad luck will have worn off and I'll be safe. :D

BillBlueEyes 04-22-2011 04:39 AM

YAY SOX!! indeed, and YAY manders01 for staying up for 11 innings of a West Coast game.

Yeah, we need Youkilis. Any word on what's up there?

Looking good for our last six games:
:) :) :) :) :) :(

And thank you Gary and your Angles for being gracious hosts to the visiting Nation.

Clydegirl 04-22-2011 09:41 AM

Ther's no love lost between these 2 teams.

Should be good.

EZMONEY 04-22-2011 05:01 PM

GOOD FRIDAY!

Clydegirl 04-23-2011 01:35 PM

Took the first from the Reds :)

That's twice this week the tornado sirens have gone off at Busch Stadium.

Thankfully no-one seriously injured in these storms that went through the area.

Clydegirl 04-24-2011 09:26 PM

ESPN tonight.
