We are up 4-0 over Diane's Rockies... in the 4th...

no lead is big enough for us....

Clydegirl 06-01-2011 05:44 PM

Matt Holliday and Kyle McLellan to the DL.

So many injuries but our young guys are holding up well.

Westbrook going up against Lincecum tonight.

Clydegirl 06-03-2011 04:48 PM

The Cubs are in town and it's going to be a hot one.

Where is everyone?

XLMuffnTop 06-03-2011 05:45 PM

I've been lurking but still following my Rangers. :)

Endy Chavez is doing so well while Borbon is out on DL. So well it seems half the people on the Rangers forums are asking for him to stay in Borbon's place permanently. I just wish the Rangers could get their pitching settled. Feliz has been pretty shaking lately and it seems several of their starters are hit or miss (pun intended ;) ).

BillBlueEyes 06-04-2011 10:09 PM

Good grief! It took 14 innings to dispatch that California team from Oakland. Fourteen!!!!

But, that allows the Red Sox to remain within one game of the NY Yankees.

Which reminds me: Gary - our local newspapers aren't talking about the mighty LA Dodgers, but rather about low attendance. How do you exptect to meet payroll if you fans don't attend and buy over-priced beers. The players gotta eat, ya know.

The stadium looks pretty sad during the games. Reports around here is a mixed bag of reasons....the economy...the teams lack of wins...the incident with the beating of the Giants fan...but MOSTLY...fans are just sick of the owner and his bs....that would be my #1 complaint!

Clydegirl 06-05-2011 11:03 AM

We're heading down to Busch Stadium. It's going to be another hot day.

I don't mind, the heat seems to have woken up a certain number 5.

Let's sweep the Cubs and get a win for Carpenter.

Please.

Clydegirl 06-05-2011 09:57 PM

We got the sweep with another walk-off homer for Albert.

A fun time at the ballpark.

EZMONEY 06-05-2011 10:45 PM

:woohoo: OH MY! :woohoo:

back to back wins :woohoo:

No win for Carp, but still a win! What a game!!!!! They said it was really, really hot, and Busch gets warmer than the average ball park to begin with, imo. How did you handle it?

Can you believe they pitched to Albert? The first day they had a bit of an excuse because Lance was coming up behind him. But yesterday?! There was no excuse!!!!!!! So silly!

I'm loving reading the articles about Zambrano blowing his lid (yet again). Gotta loves those Cubs, haha.

Go Cards!

Clydegirl 06-06-2011 01:43 PM

Hi Amber.

Carp pitched a great game.

I don't know why they pitched to him. Everyone in the stadium was waiting for him to hit it out of the ballpark and he did. Fantastic atmosphere.

Sunday's game wasn't as hot as Saturday. They have cooling stations and free water.

Sweetcaroline 06-08-2011 11:42 PM

Took the first 2 games from the Yankees in NY now we are in first place.
I'm loving Boston sports right now. :D:D:D

Ditto here. I can go to work today only because a powerful administrator is a HUGE hockey fan and he'll be in a good mood since the Bruins tied the Stanly cup last night.

BillBlueEyes 06-10-2011 05:25 AM

Thanks to Sweetcaroline for staying up late enough to get The Red Sox a 7 run 7th inning. (I just presume you did, since you're a true fan - as differs from those of us who went to bed before the first inning after that 3 hour rain delay.)

Clydegirl 06-10-2011 07:54 PM

We're up in Milwaukee for 3 games.

Need to do well. The Brewers are playing good right now.

Tony LaRussa is managing his 5,000th game tonight. Wow. That's a lot of games.

EZMONEY 06-11-2011 08:31 AM

Everytime we get a little life in us, we seem to get the air sucked out and go flat...

As our back-up left outfielder's dad once said.....

Clydegirl 06-11-2011 10:35 PM

We need our injured players off the DL.

Carp not looking very good.

EZMONEY 06-12-2011 08:45 AM

Nice catch by Tony Gwynn Jr. last night to get the save over Diane's Rockies!

Ha Ha, nope, have to be honest Bill, I never turned it on, but what a great series.
We are on a roll second best in the MLB. :cp:

Clydegirl 06-16-2011 09:13 AM

This team is falling apart.

Lost 5 in a row.

Clydegirl 06-16-2011 01:07 PM

This realignment talk is crazy.

EZMONEY 06-17-2011 07:22 PM

Way to make the REDS feel at home by allowing them to sweep....

it is OUR home you morons!

Clydegirl 06-17-2011 08:10 PM

I-70 series this weekend against the Royals.

More importantly this weekend is a huge fund raiser for the people of Joplin. Loads of ways to donate.

Enjoy your interleague games.

Go RedSox.

BillBlueEyes 06-17-2011 09:51 PM

If there is agreement on the divorce, does that mean we now know who's running the Dodgers?

And can they now come out and play ball?

EZMONEY 06-17-2011 10:27 PM

BILL there is absolutely no truth to the rumor that I am spreading that I will now be sole owner of the DODGERS....

evidently...Angie wants her rights!

EZMONEY 06-18-2011 09:21 AM

Since my guys evidently think winning is a joke I will leave you all with a little baseball humor.....:D

BillBlueEyes 06-18-2011 11:06 AM

No time for baseball right now - Boston is a hockey town at the moment.

I agree BILL...puck baseball!

Clydegirl 06-18-2011 02:41 PM

So we are going to torture ourselves tonight and go to the game against the Royals.

I'm hoping with we get a win and stop this horrible losing streak.

I got really cheap tickets from 101.1 ESPN for $10.11 each.

Clydegirl 06-18-2011 11:08 PM

I love Matt Holliday.

Clydegirl 06-19-2011 09:44 PM

A walk-off home run today for Schumaker. :)

Albert injured his wrist and shoulder. I don't see how he can avoid the DL.

EZMONEY 06-19-2011 09:51 PM

WINNER!

Clydegirl 06-20-2011 12:59 PM

Albert Pujols has a small fracture in his forearm out 4-6 weeks.

So many injuries this year.

So glad we have Berkman who can play 1st base.

Clydegirl 06-21-2011 05:38 PM

Going to the Cards Phillies game tonight. They have some good pitching.

A new look team without Albert.

Let's go Cardinals.

EZMONEY 06-21-2011 05:43 PM

WE are getting excited to see how WE are gonna look with a new owner!

Please bring the tradition back!

EZMONEY 06-21-2011 09:22 PM

This one is for you Big Bird

Bob Gibson
is the luckiest pitcher I ever saw. He always pitches when the other team doesn't score any runs. ~ Tim McCarver

I was just a kid when he was around but he was a great one!

He was the best.

So McCourt is going to sue MLB!

Clydegirl 06-22-2011 12:59 AM

OK that was the worst bullpen meltdown I have ever seen.

We need major help. Who can we get?

Also there is nothing that annoys me more than "The Wave".

We're in the 8th inning, 2-1 game and they are doing the wave. Give me a break people.

Terrible end to a well pitched game. Lost 10-2 :(

BillBlueEyes 06-22-2011 12:21 PM

Stop the presses.

The Dodgers money problems are solved.

According to the East Coast press (which is suspected of being biased against California) seems that California has ceased paying its legislatures. Came about because of a supposed "Proposition 25" which says something like no balanced budget by June 15th means no pay and no per diem. So, the state has all that money to spend somewhere.

I modestly suggest that the state of California carry the Dodgers payroll during this period. The players will then be motivated since they were consuming the tax payers money - OK at least as motivated as workers at the Registry of Motor Vehicles who renew license plates.

Feel free to use this idea - no charge.
