Snow and more snow...

  • Okay, so I'm sitting here in Northeast Ohio and it literally hasn't stopped snowing since New Years Day. We have well over 2 feet of snow outside. My kids were supposed to go back to school today after winter break and they had a snow day. At the rate it's snowing, they might not go back tomorrow either. The roads are bad so I really don't want to drive anywhere if I don't have to, but I am going stir crazy!! I really need some alone time and I really want to go to the gym. Part of the problem is that I live "in the middle of nowhere" so the roads out here are the last to be plowed. I'm ready to SCREAM!! Thanks, just needed to vent.
  • I hear ya ...
  • Yes to global warming??

Kidding, but yeah, snow and ice here in Norway too. Tho, it's only laying there - no more added. Still, a pain in the ol' rear end nonetheless.

  • Thanks for letting me know I'm not alone but I swear if they call off school again tomorrow, I'm getting out of here if I have to walk...
  • I'll cross my fingers for you.

We had school here today, despite the snowy roads. The kids could barely sit still - they just wanted to get out and play in all that new snow.
  • I feel your pain! We don't have snow, but it's frigid here. My 6 year old needs to go outside and RUN! Thankfully, school starts tomorrow. I feel sorry for his teacher.
  • Snow topped with ice
Tons of snow here in southern Ontario too and I headed out for a walk to find my drive covered with ice from the freezing rain. Decided it wasn't worth the slip slidin' potential bruises or worse. Guess it's a few rounds of the mall for me today!
  • Ha haha, I just have to laugh! I live in Alaska and guess what, we are having the warmest winter I can remember in 21 years of living here. Its been in the 40's and raining since the week before Christmas. I'm loving it, no snow to shovel and easy driving, but my poor poor son got an awesome sled for christmas and hasn't been able to use it yet.
Stay warm folks, and if you need a warmer climate to visit, come to Alaska...lmao!!!
  • I too Live in OHIO & Am sick of the snow. I am in southwest ohio So It aint as bad here...But Bad enough.
The kids did have school today but 2morrow & Friday there calling for more snow SO I would say they will be home those 2 days...UGHHH~Know how ya feel. My kids are great but I need some alone time too.

    YOUR IN MY THOUGHTS!

Mango~Alaska is sounding great to me!! LMAO2
  • Ha, I guess I spend my winters in the wrong part of Alaska (aka bouncing around villages/work sites on the North Slope and Yukon Flats).

I didn't see the positive side of zero until I got down South a few days ago ;>

Though the snow level is drastically down from where it should be.
  • take the kids sledging. play with them in the snow. these are the things that make good childhood memories... no school, fun and snow.

maybe cross country skiing... though, not sure it's possible in two feet of snow.

hmm, just give them sleepy time tea. lol. sorry I tried, but I can't help.
  • Kansas here, and not too much snow, but FREEZING. My poor daughter wants to go out to play, but we only last a few minutes before the baby and I are shivering and we have to pack it in. Thank God the mall here has an indoor play place for toddlers.
