devadiva--you mean like inbetween waxing?? For me, its very minimal... I have way less hair that grows in now than when I first started waxing. I wouldn't call it a stuble by any means. The hair is finer and smoother for sure.

I was gonna ask about the stubble also. When you say "exfoliate" is that a cream. It's been years since I've exfoliated my face. Last time I did I think I remember it being a cream with tiny pebbles in it, is that the same deal?

I guess I'll check out the product for doing it yourself because 65 bucks evey 5 weeks is more than my "kitty" either one can handle!

No.. by exfoliating I say use a plastic scrub puff like you might normally do in the shower anyway, with a softsoft that has some sort of scrub to it. I use softsoap brand and the flavor is coconut (with lil parts of the coconut shell used as the scrub part). There is an apricot body scrub too that is also great.

The reason you have to exfoliate when you wax, is because when you yank the hair out, it grows back fine, and sometimes cannot break through the skin easy enough and will get trapped under your skin.

I'm in Atlanta and there is a place here that does it for $35 also. I love it. I clean up between waxes with an epilator and can make it last about 8-10 weeks. Left unattended it would be about 5 weeks I think.

Definitely exfoliate, for exactly the reason described above.

Okay, well can I ask a question in a different direction then? I really don't think I'm up for waxing my hoo-ha, but I really like to be bare down there...but with shaving, is there always going to just be that small amount of stubble? It drives me crazy and I'd love it to be just completely smooth, but I don't know how to do that....

Sorry to take it off track, I've just been wondering...any tips would be great appreciated...lol

Unfortunately, waxing is the best way to go about that (short of a super expensive procedure).

But it is SO worth it. The worst part about it is getting the courage to go to the appointment.

I always had a small amount of stubble with shaving. Don't have it with waxing or epilating. The hair grows back in smoother I guess? Definitely worth it.

True, and true. The place I go to, I picked because they would let me set up the appointment through email, and I was too mortified to call them up on the phone After the first time though - it's a cinch.

hahaha yes I like that feature about the place I found....appointment by email.
I would hate to walk up and say "I would like a Brazilian wax." I remember once going to a spa sort of place where they had a bunch of seats with women getting Mani/Pedi's, as soon as I came in everyone looked over at me. I asked for a eyebrow wax and I could feel everyone's eyes on me as the girl led me to the back. LOL I would rather go to an actual body wax place to do this number.

oooh.. I forgot to add.. there's a spray you can use to kind of dull the pain of waxing.. I forget what its called, but there are several variations of it available.. a popular one is "no scream cream".. but its a cream--not a spray like my friend uses with me.
