JulianDH my cat pees and poos next to the toilet. And then she gives us a "I-DIDN'T DO IT, HONESTLY!" look

alinnell 01-27-2009 01:42 PM

I used to be a ski instructor.

KimL1214 01-27-2009 02:24 PM

I don't know, bad ankles and knees may not mix with down hill skiing

PearFreak 01-27-2009 02:33 PM

I have an idea... :D :p :smug: :)

Lets all meet up, and see how many of us fit on a big ole tobaggan and go doooooooooowwwwwwwwwwnnnnnnn a big ole hill. We'll have to make it for next week, as for traveling and getting a scheduled day off. Heck we'll even let Operator blow something up and move all the dirt it forms in a big ole pile, hopefully we'll get fresh snow the same day. LOL!

(and no I am not crazy... you all wish you thought of this ;))

They don't. I have bad knees from years of downhill skiing. I haven't actually skied for over 20 years. Golf is more forgiving for us old folks.

Does 45 count as old?

Ruthxxx 01-27-2009 03:39 PM

Heck 45 is Young! Try 70 and that's not even old these days I keep telling myself!

Slashnl 01-27-2009 03:40 PM

Allison, are you kidding? You're 45? So am I!

And no, it isn't old. It might have seemed old when we were 20, but we were very wrong then!

Operator265 01-27-2009 03:59 PM

I went skiing a couple of times when I was 27-28. Loved it. Hoping to try it again now that I'm getting fit and fantastic. If not this season, definitely next will see me out on "The Greatest Snow on Earth." It is ridiculous that I live less than an hour from about 10 ski resorts and haven't been going.

I may be 40, but I'd look pretty good in ski pants.

Operator~living in Utah and not skiing. Something is wrong there! I love Alta and Park City. My DH's family used to have a timeshare at Snowbird in the Ironblossom Inn--but they sold it before I met him. They often would get snowed in and have to miss school (darn)!

I think I knew that--didn't I? They say the mind is the first thing to go.

JuliaDH 01-27-2009 04:42 PM

Y'all not making be feel optomistic about aging.

Ruthxxx 01-27-2009 04:51 PM

It's not so bad. People treat me with respect BUT NOT IN HERE!

srmb60 01-27-2009 05:09 PM

I respect you Ruth!

I am 48 and darned proud of it!

JuliaDH 01-27-2009 05:12 PM

Who needs respect when they have a 6 pm scotch waiting for them. I imagine you sitting by the crackling fire with your feet on the ottoman in a dark leather arm chair. With the man servant in the kitchen preparing dinner. Cause that is how I would do it.

I know. It's sacrilegious. But I will soon be joining the faithful. My X and I are thinking about renting a condo in Park City for a week long family vacation. Sounds silly when we live so close, but it would be like "getting away from it all."

BTW, Ruth, we do to respect you, ya old buzzard.......Ma'am!;)
