This is gonna be fun... (I emptied the thing not so long ago, so it could be much worse)

2 pieces of felt, orange and dark blue
a ripper
12 chestnuts
lots of pens
about $4 in change
all kinds of paperwork
an oncology book
water bottle
phone
extra bicycle keys
a pair of sweat pants
a belt
my medical iinstruments purse, containing a stethoscope, a flashlight, a reflex thingy and a goniometer
2 organizers
garbage, for example a flattened plastic coffee cup
a broken watch
necklace
permanent marker (different ones)
a roll of peppermint
anti transpirant stuff
a piece of liquorice (what the ****?)
lip gloss

Okay, maybe I should clear it out again.

Too funny, I was just making fun of Jennifer because her purse weighs more than a small child!

I have....

a very lightweight wallet
a pen
kleenex

I have:

Carmex
kleenex
wallet
change purse
clip on watch
hand sanitizer
tape measure
pen
gum
mints
comb
folding reading glasses

But then I just cleaned it out yesterday....dumped all the change in the red kettle and got rid of the receipts and trash.

I have practically everything necessary to sustain life and pull those teeny bits of paper out of the office printer when it jams up. But among the more unusual...
  • a whistle - in case I 1) get mugged again or 2) the big earthquake finally hits and I am buried - I want them to find me
  • a flashlight because I am claustrophobic and the idea of getting stuck in a dark elevator by myself gives me the heebie jeebies
  • an extra battery for the flashlight in case it takes them a while to get to me (I figure I can use the light on my cell phone to see and swap the battery if I have to).
  • cough drops in case I'm stuck in said elevator without my trusty water bottle and my sinus drip acts up and I start choking and coughing
  • an unopened pack of cigarettes from when I quit smoking in April 2004 - figured that if I ever got tempted to pick up a cigarette again, I wanted one that was really old, nasty and stale so I wouldn't get tempted again
  • a book of matches from about the same time I quit smoking. I figure they won't light any more further protecting me from the temptation to spontaneously light up.
  • a mixture of postage stamps that just say First Class and whose denomination while I'm sure is not current, is also a mystery to me
  • a $2 bill I got from some where, some time so that I always have some money
  • a magic bean my mother gave me years ago. Said to carry it in your wallet and you will always have money. It must be true because while not rich, I have always had at least $2 and some change.
  • several car registrations and insurance cards, most of which are out of date. I take them out, look at them, realize they are out of date, fold them up and put them back into another part of my purse (to come across another day) because I don't want to throw my private info in a public trash can

I use a satchel type thing as both my book bag for class and my purse- so it's mainly pens, pencils, gum, Kleenex, and when it's not vacation, then papers, notebooks, folders mainly. Books and MP3 player, keys, phone.
