Ok this is just my gripe. I remember in high school (15 years ago?) that Ugg boots seemed to be popular. I thought they were ugly then plus I lived in California so whats the point?
Anyway, I've seen them advertised a lot more recently. I heard something on the radio this morning and then got an email about a sale on them. I don't buy products made of animal skin anymore so I wouldn't buy them but still, why are they being advertised again?
Ok thats just my gripe for today
Oh and I forgot to add that my other thought was "Am I old enough that things I remember form younger days are now retro!?" I feel old.
Personally I don't think they're attractive. I live in Texas so it's not like we're wading through 3 feet of snow.
On top of that a lot of the college girls wear these really tiny little neon colored work out shorts, a big fluffy sweater then Ugg boots. I don't know what the point is, I'm still trying to figure out if they're going for a jog, lounging around the house or preparing for the great blizzard of 2008. I get mixed signals.
What?!? you don't like uggs? j/k, they are ugly...but warm and they slip on instead of being a pain to struggle into. I used to have a purple pair, but they got worn out and I probably won't buy a new pair because there are cheaper options out there.
I never had any use from them when I lived in Arizona. But when I moved to Washington, I bought some. They are really warm and comfy. I wear them out here in MD too. I hate having cold feet because when I do, it will take me forever to get warm!!!!
Although..I must say, I dont get why some people wear them out in warm weather. I wore them on a plane trip to WA to AZ one year, and omg that was a huge mistake. I had forgotten that it does warm up in the middle of the day in Az. I was sweating sooo bad with those damn shoes on.
Oh..I have several pairs (brown, tan..and now black) I also have slippers in pink & brown.

i can't stand them either OR crocks. leg warmers appear to be popular here again too- i do not understand them at all. was too young the first time around and am happy to be too old this time. yuck!
i saw a girl at a holiday crafts market last weekend wearing some neon green spandex full length pants, with a short shirt. why would you do that?!
and the most recent one i've seen that i don't understand - fuzzy furry slippers but in the shape of flip flops. how's that gonna keep your feet warm? plus, they just look dumb.

I have some leg warmers. But I dont wear them in public. I also wear the skirt and leggings. Never in neon colors. Although...that would make a great Halloween costume!! LoL!!!
A chick at Torrid tried to sell me acid wash jeans. I have to draw the line somewhere. Those pants are truly awful.

I used to think they were ugly, then got a pair as a gift and never looked back. SO COMFY although i would never shell out that kind of money on my own. My uggs with huge sweatpants and huge hoodie= comfort on the couch.
you know what is so funny...when i was in australia a few years ago, i struck up a conversation with a local. She says that Ugghs in Oz are mainly used as house slippers..nothing else..people will go out to the store in them but its like us going to the store in house slippers...its done but we get looks. she was saying how most auzzies find us silly wearing them for fashion. I don't like them for a fashion statement, but i did pick up a pair of slipper looking uggs for at home and man they keep your feet warm in the winter and don't allow sweaty feet in summer. They are great!

My daughter thinks it's totally normal to go ANYWHERE in her pajamas.
Where do kids get these ideas? I wouldn't be caught dead in pajamas outside of my house (unless it's just to get the morning paper).
On the other hand, she thinks I'm weird when I wear a coordinated workout outfit to run errands in (think Nike: grey pants, yellow and grey sleeveless top and yellow jacket--it's cute!).
