I thing spaghetti would be a great Christmas eve dinner for a big crowd like that. Big salad on the side, breadsticks. Works for me, but then we're doing lasagna for Christmas dinner (regular and seafood).

Please be warned that DS and his GF are a bit picky about wines, so your choices will be well appreciated.

I usually have a margarita with Mexican food, though.

Tamales sound good. Spaghetti and meatballs... great choice, too. I usually fix clam chowder on Christmas Eve, but that's just our family. Chili would be good and easy, too.

Gary , if you choose Tamales will you be serving Corona or Dos Equis ?

I wouldn't serve anything as tannic as cab with something on the spicy side. A good chianti would be great. However, if you are a wimp, you can opt for a white wine. I'd recommend a riesling.

My bad... the museum was in Apple Valley then moved to Victorville before moving to Missouri. The location you are talking about was in Victorville.

We have had soup before...Angie was going to make Italian Wedding soup but never got around to perfecting a recipe for 30.

Hey yeah...the tamale lady hasn't been around for a while...wonder what happened?

Angie and I are making meatballs on Sunday after church...a big salad and garlic bread will finish the meal...others will bring desserts.

I always serve red and white BILL.

Angie drinks white I am a merlot kind of guy...but I like it chilled!

I made chili a few years back....but we go to church at 10pm...not a pretty site....my brother, bil and I ;)

Coronas are always in my fridge! :)

We usually start around 6pm....all are welcome!

Angie knocked off the last of the chianti last night after working at yoga.

Looks like we are all up for a Mexican food get together ....I'm in :)
