"Driving one of these is like driving a pick-up truck," says Cindy Blanchard, 40, who works at Shell's Muskeg River mine in the province of Alberta.

She works 12-hour shifts, days and nights, feeding the 24/7, 365-day oil sands industry which had been booming.

Kinda wondering though about 12-hour shifts, days and nights - like that doesn't leave time for sleeping.

No it don't. And not a whole lotta time for posting when you do two extra days of over time.

Nope....this trend is as old as football...modern style, that is.

Well BILL on a starry starry night young men of California find it to their advantage to shave their legs for the manly game of football....plus it eases the crying when that adhesive tape comes off ;) .

I can't say that I am "proud" of the following action however I am always proud of my son. For about 10 years my son and several of his buddies have shaved their legs from the knees down in the summer.....they feel their legs look better w/o all that hair...I would :D laugh at them more but I have to say that the girls they married/dated are all really cute....must be something to it! I was making fun of my son one day a few years back about it and my (now) dil says...."I kind of like his legs smooth"...

Could Absinthe been a part of the problem ?

Well, I'd love Theo too, or anyone else for that matter who spent their entire life babysitting my crazy a**.

No kidding! But Bill, with all of his rules, wants to keep us all on track. We'll see if he can find a topic. Ha!

alinnell 12-11-2008 12:37 PM

Ok, Bill, you're on.

We need a topic.

srmb60 12-11-2008 05:01 PM

What if the topic is topics? We'd probably get off track any way :D

Most profound mind

Profound minds seek the greater path - spiritual leaders, great political leaders.

But the most profound minds question the path itself, as SusanB has done. She sees the light. She is our leader. She will take us out of this place.

None of this Absinthe for me

No question about it. It may be OK for the teens, or so Nancy Reagan says, but Absinthe is NOT the solution for me. A man needs ****, and ****, and ****. Maybe the Cobra and the Mongoose even on that special occasion.

[Note to self: And you don't want anything to do with Absinthe either, do you, my sweet little green fairy.]

I put my lunch in the car when I went to turn it on. Do you think my banana will turn brown from the cold?
