I got it yesterday. Love it! It's fun for the whole family! Fun games, you get a trainer, it tracks your progress. Very cute! Although I wouldn't use it in place or working out. Just an added bonus for the day!

Default WiiFit

I bought one yesterday and my kids thought it was a lot of fun! I was planning to use it, too, but they teased me and said I might not be too good at it. It focuses so much on balance and I am so not graceful! I was glad to read that an exercise mat helps. My son was surprised (as was I ) when he was ranked "obese".

I read an article, I believe it was on here that said that WII Fit does not accurately calculate BMI for CHILDREN. It does work for adults. I can't wait to get it the only thing i want to know is, can I hook up two pads and work out with my friend or do i have to sit by and watch while she does it and same for her when i do it... i rather do it together so i don't feel silly with someone watching me...
Anyone know if this is possible?

I am not sure if the answer to your questions was lost or not. You can only have one board connected to a system at a time. The only two player game is running which does not use the board. Both people must have a remote and the system measures how ofter the remote is moved. Ideally you would be running and not just move your wrist up and down.

I got mine a week ago and I LOVE it! DH and I have used it every day this week, and since I'm home alone and bored lately I find myself starting the balance games for fun and an hour or more later have done tons of yoga, aerobics, etc. It doesn't feel like I'm exercising...till the next day anyway! We also have ours on carpet and it doesn't seem to affect it at all. The weight on it averages 5 lbs less for everyone than my bathroom scale-which I'm not at all fussed about :-D

Before the crash, I mentioned that my wii weight was way off. I ended up putting my balance board on a wooden platform and now it matches up with my regular scale.

I want one so bad. Unfortunately, they are sold out everywhere. Even online.

wiitracker.com is how I found my wii in stock. They have set it up for wii fit too. You might look at signing up to see if you can notice of it being in stock. http://wiitracker.com/wiifit/

We just got a Wii and I was telling my DH that I thought the Wii fit looked fun - now after reading all these posts I may just go get it! I despise excercise- but maybe this wii fit would be better than nothing!

It's not possible to hook up two boards but it is possible for two people to do a lot of things at the same time--the other person just won't get credit for it. My Incredibly Supportive Boyfriend (ISB) stood beside me as I was on the board and did all of the yoga poses and the strength training activities. We took turns with the aerobics and balance activities. Then when ISB had his Mii hooked up to do yoga and strength, I stood beside him to do them. The Wii Fit said I was active for 30 minutes but I did it for twice as long! I have no problems with that.

All this said, I would never replace any of my normal workout with the Wii Fit. Not only that, I would not allow myself extra food/calories/protein/points/etc. in my day for using the Wii Fit.
