Yay... went to Fenway last night, first game this year... Couldn't ask for a more beautiful night for a game... 70 ish, dry, clear...decent seats... They lost... but it was still a great night.... Lots of Sox 'down with the flu'... they scratched Beckett on Tuesday, Dice K last night... 3 or 4 more players 'too sick to play'... guess it better than 'injuries'.... they had to pull a 'kid' from AA for an emergency start today.... yikes !!
Grrrr another game lost in the 9th inning to the Astros.
What's up with Izzy?
Funny thing was my middle daughter came home yesterday after their softball game which they lost in the bottom of the 9th inning. Their pitcher had a perfect game, no hits until she gave up a home run to lose the game. I said to her that's the game and that's why I love it so much.
My boys had a tough one against the Mountain Babes last night...won a game...lost a third baseman...gonna be a long year....happy news my son in law's padres lost...the bad news....it was to the poison!..........
gonna be a looooooooooooooong year..........or.....
EZ, I couldn't make it to the end of that game. Extra innings when it starts that late just does me in! Boy, our NL West teams are all mediocre right now. Well, except for one....
Mets have been doing pretty crappy. Offense has been pretty non-existant, and pitching has been very inconsistent. But they did manage a win today against the Braves 4-3. Hopefully they can take the series tomorrow.
OUCH! What a terrible first inning! The rest of the game wasn't bad, but I really thought I was watching a little league game with the Rockies and Dodgers last night. I had just mentioned to my husband that I wish they had a 10 run rule in the MLB, and then one of the Dodgers was hit by a pitch. Are you kidding me?? I WAS watching little league.
RED SOX BABES ~ YANKEE BABES Today in church, our message was titled "Good and Bad 'Magical Thinking" ~ our Pastor told the story and showed pictures of the Ortiz jersey Burial.....will the curse never die?!
Yes, I don't think it will ever go away EZ... its part of the culture now... but there is a definite shift to NY...
Even more so now that we've been teasing Yanks with the possibility of more Red Sox stuff buried in that new stadium.. Get out those jackhammers boyz....
