Just finished building and installing a gate. It is freezing here at 25 degrees F and drop that several more degrees to include the wind chill factor , so I built it in my kitchen. What the heck. The X still hasn't fixed the oven so it's not like I can use it for cooking. The man is an amazing multi-tasker. He can be an absentee father and a slumlord all at once. JUST AMAZING!!!

Annnddd, even though WY garnishes child support from the moment the divorce papers are signed, he managed to rip us off this month. The county goofed and thought it was done so they sent HIM a couple of refund checks instead of direct depositing in my account. HE didn't say a word to me and neither I nor HIS DAUGHTERS have heard from him since(he was supposed to call the baby and do something with her last week. My baby is hurting and that double ticks me off!!). Well, I got in touch with the County Clerk and got it straightened out, but I can forget about seeing that money. Gee, absentee + slumlord + now we can add DEADBEAT DAD to the list.

So, let us bow our heads and pray, "God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change. Courage to change the things I can. And the wisdom to know where to bury the body of the SOB when he finally ticks me off for the last time!!! Amen"

I just got out of a hot bath so I feel much better. As soon as I let the dog in, I can go lie down. He can go out now without us having to worry about him chasing down one of the neighbors since I(the Momma, not the Daddy who owns this dump) fixed it.

Dog is in now. I'll put the blanket in front of the damage at the bottom of the door that HE hasn't fixed yet , walk under the swamp cooler that is collapsing into the hallway and leaks water from the roof that HE hasn't fixed yet and shoot past the back door that doesn't close properly and that HE hasn't fixed yet , crawl into my nice warm bed and get some rest.

Night, night y'all.

Kinda funny, Bargoo, if you look up "Stupid" in the dictionary, you'll find his picture. Oxford added it after I reported that he taught me how to fire his 10mm. I shot a pop can from 50 yards the first time. I missed by about an inch to the left on the first shot then corrected and barely missed to the right by less the 1/2 an inch(it moved the can but didn't hit it). It was at that point, I think that it dawned on him how STUPID it is to teach your wife how to shoot your own handgun that you keep in your own house while you are cheating on her. Der, derpity, doo!! Moron!!!

We are renting his trailer from him until we can get settled in and find a place. The economy is doing pretty well here and it is hard to find a place. I'm up for a really good job. I passed the "personality" test(faked their butts out ) and I have interviews(two with the company and 1 with the union) next week. If I get that job or the other one I'm up for(another company has been checking my references) we will be out of this hole within the month.

We lived here when we first married then got a house. He wouldn't sell it but he hasn't done ANYTHING in the way of upkeep since we moved out 15 years ago. His old pick up is still out front where it has been sitting for the last 20 years. We call it "The Monument".

ETA: BTW, I did the upkeep for the 5 years we lived here too.

I'm in WY. We moved back this summer. The kids are doing much better. Oldest is finding work much easier and the youngest is doing better in school since she doesn't have to deal with being harassed for not being a member of the predominant faith. Now if I can just find a decent job.

Anyhoo, that's why I haven't been posting as much. But, we are settled in more now so WATCH OUT!! The Broad is Back on Board.

And glad to have you back ! I missed you when you were gone, I was hoping you weren't in jail ! I am sure you are glad to be in Wyoming, I had the feeling that you considered Utah to be the Armpit of America.
What kind of job are you looking for ? Blowing something up ? Bookkeeping ? Welding ? I moved in September, but stayed in the same state . I moved from a technologically advanced area (Silicon Valley) to a smaller college town.I am still trying to find my way around. I am only about 100 miles away but it is different in many ways. But like you I am adaptable or so I keep telling myself.
